The Vision: Real People

I shared a couple days ago that I have been inspired to stir things up in my world. On Sunday, I heard a message that challenged me deeply to listen to what I'm being asked to do. And while I am going to listen, I need your help too.

Here's the vision and I hope I'm clear enough to help you understand.

My blog has just reached the point where, at the very least, 100 people read a day. I'm reaching people's homes all over the world and I find that amazing...and very challenging.

What am I saying to these hundreds of people? What am I doing with the minute or so I've been given to speak to you?

I've decided to make this blog about more than just me or my thoughts. I've decided to reach out to others and bring their stories to you. Together, we can make a difference in someone else's life.

I don't know how often these posts will go up. I'm looking for real people with real stories who need help in some way or another. Google will be my number 1 tool in finding these people. In the meantime, if there is a story you hear of, please share it with me so I can look into posting it.

I still plan on doing my best to get you some giveaways from time to time. I will still share stories about myself, my son, and my hubster. I just want this blog to be about so much more than me.

Here's my first story.

There is a little girl, Charley, who is 9 years old in Arkansas. She's already had neurosurgery once and is looking at another surgery coming up soon. Can you imagine how much that alone would cost?

Doctors have given her a brace to wear until they're able to do surgery to remove a large pocket of fluid from her spine.

There is so much more to this story. Virginia (Charley's Mom) has been faithfully updating her daughter's progress while still asking for donations. The family is in need of $1,200 and have only had $90.74 donated to them so far.

You can read the rest of the story here.

My desire is not to bring story after story to you to make you feel bad. My desire is to bring awareness and ask that you pray or if you can, donate anything you can to help. There are people outside of our homes who need to be lifted up and encouraged. There are mothers who don't have the time to keep up with blog giveaways because they're caring for their sick
child(ren) or another family member. Let's take a moment every once in a while to remember them and say a prayer.
