Quotable Sunday ~ Jan. 25

Welcome to another "Quotable Sunday" hosted by Toni.

I'll share the rules quickly with you:
~Post one or more of your fave quotes on your blog.
~Go to Toni's blog and link to you post in Mister Linky
~ Check back all day for the new adds in mister linky and go give some comment love to the other quote heads :)

Today, I had a revelation of sorts. I was set to search out some quotes on migraines since that's what I woke up with today. But, as I was home alone while the hubster and Alex went off to church, something happened.

I felt bad for missing church and laying on the couch, so I turned to YouTube to catch some "church" on there.

Long story, short, I realized that my pride took the place of peace and patience in my heart.

SO...I've decided to share quotes on patience instead...

“Patience is the companion of wisdom.
  Saint Augustine

“Let nothing disturb thee; Let nothing dismay thee; All thing pass; God never changes. Patience attains All that it strives for. He who has God Finds he lacks nothing:God alone suffices.”
  St. Teresa of Avila

“The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.” Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy

“Faith is not simply a patience that passively suffers until the storm is past. Rather, it is a spirit that bears things - with resignations, yes, but above all, with blazing, serene hope.” Corazon Aquino

“The keys to patience are acceptance and faith. Accept things as they are, and look realistically at the world around you. Have faith in yourself and in the direction you have chosen.” Ralph Marston

“Hope is patience with the lamp lit.” Tertullian
