Dearest Lori, Hear My Plea

*Let's take a minute before you read my over dramatic plea to mention something serious. Please take a moment and read about Tucker. This is a little boy who seriously needs every bit of support we can give.  Go ahead, click it now and find out how you can help. I'll wait.

Thanks for clicking. Now, onto my plea.

Friends. Citizens. Loyal followers. It has come to my attention that there is a blog makeover up for grabs over at The Downs Gang. Sadly, there is only one available which means only one person will win.
Lori's asking me to give it my best shot at making a plea for this makeover. Here goes nothing.

I love my blog. By which I mean, I am grateful for all it has done for me. This little space in the blogosphere has offered me a safe haven where I can be free to be myself. It has allowed me times of venting, mourning, remembering, cherishing, laughing, and more. It has given me a platform for the silliness that lives inside as well as the the serious qualities I have.

Yes, I love my blog.

Sometimes it's hard to feel like I'm free to be completely "me", though. These sidebars trap me in and make me look like many other blogs out there. The design I have is great, but it's also free and available to anyone on blogger. So while I can strive to be as original as possible, I can never be truly "unique". No. True uniqueness lies in a design meant solely for me. And this, my friends, is something I cannot attain as I cannot afford it's cost.

The truth is, I'm desperate. Desperately in love, that is. And in true "Amy" fashion, I will give you a glance at what a plea from me looks like.

Now, if by chance Lori says, "No. I don't believe in the love you have for your blog enough to pick you", (which would make me very depressed, indeed) My toddler has something he would like to say.

Now, his language skills are still in the works so I couldn't record him saying something. Instead, he asked me to show you what a plea from him looks like.

Goodness, gracious! I have a very hard time saying no to that little face. All I can say is, I think it's best that Lori say "yes" to Coffee with the Mrs. I would hate to have to disappoint my little guy. kwim? It's quite obvious that news like that would just devastate him.

Oh well, if we're not chosen, at least I'll have someone to cry with.

(did ya like that? That was my cherry on top. I know my readers believe in me. Let's just hope Lori feels the same way. Please don't forget to click the link for Tucker.)
