GoGo squeeZ (review & giveaway)

If you’re a parent, you know how hectic life can be with outings, school, play dates, gatherings, and so on. While you’re out and about, your little one/ones are more than likely going to ask you for a snack. (I know my toddler is ALWAYS wanting something to munch on.) It’s easy to grab any old snack to throw in your purse or diaper bag, but have you ever wished there was a healthier solution to snacking on-the-go?

GoGo squeeZ is the perfect solution. It’s portable, mess-proof, re-sealable, sugar free, Kosher certified, and made of 100% fruit.   The packaging is fun and appealing to little ones but it was originally designed for use by NASA astronauts. What is it? Well, it’s applesauce at it’s finest (in my humble opinion, of course).

GoGo squeeZ comes in 5 different flavors: apple apple, apple peach, apple strawberry, apple cinnamon, and apple banana. I’ve tried apple peach and apple strawberry and Alex (my toddler son) has tried apple cinnamon and apple apple. Alex wanted more as soon as he finished one pack and has been asking to have one as a snack almost every day since our box of samples arrived. It’s his new favorite snack and it’s something I don’t mind him having at all since it’s healthy and sugar free.

 

Personally, I really enjoy snacking on a GoGo squeeZ every now and then as well. It’s a great snack that’s light on the tummy but satisfying at the same time. 

Also, it’s great to know that eating one pouch is equal to eating one fruit serving for the day.  I think this is very helpful since my son has a sensitive stomach and I have to keep an eye on his portions throughout the day to keep him from getting a stomach ache. Since the serving size is so clearly defined, I don’t have to study its Nutrition Facts to figure out how much he’s eating.

Here’s a bit of information about the company’s origin taken from its website:

Story has it that in the 19th century, a very loving grandfather was determined to craft a special snack for his grandson. Using delicious apples from his backyard orchard in the Val De Loire region of France, near the Chateau Chambord, Monsieur Materne created a delicious and simple applesauce. The Materne company was born and would go on to become the most popular applesauce company in France.

Known as Materne Pom’potes in France, the brand has become the favorite fruit snack of children with more than 1 billion pouches consumed to date.
