Mickey’s Magical Christmas (review)

image002 I’m here to tell you about another Christmas movie that your family will love. Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed In at the House of Mouse is a new animated DVD that shares the true Christmas spirit.

Mickey and his friends just get through with their party when they find out they are snowed in together. While they’re there, they decide to remember some of the Christmas’s of their past together. This DVD will take your family through different, classic, Christmas stories as told by Mickey and his gang. I remembered quite a few of the cartoons, myself.

After watching this one time with my toddler son, it quickly became a DVD that he wanted to watch regularly. It’s so wonderful to share in classic DVD’s like these with him.

Here’s some info from the press release:

Disney Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse, which debuted in 2001, stars more than 35 Disney characters including Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Bambi, Dumbo, The Lion King and more.

BONUS FEATURES

*Episode of animated series House of Mouse.

*The Sounds of Christmas – discover the secrets of movie sound effects with a Disney sound effects artist. This also includes a special version of “Twas the NightBefore Christmas.”

*Sing-Along Songs “Deck the Halls” and “Sleigh Ride”

Disney Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse is available for U.S. $26.99 (SRP), Canada $29.99 (SRP) from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

STREET DATE: November 3, 2009

Some of my readers tend to ask me if a movie is scary or sad. This DVD does show some of the famous “enemies” of their classic films but they’re not present to play a “bad” role. They’re simply part of the group of friends that make this Christmas special. If there is ever any question, though, I suggest parents view the DVD’s before showing them to any little ones.
