Diaper Pail Test Drive: My Favorite.

 I shared with you not too long ago about the Diaper Genie and the Arm and Hammer diaper pail. You can read my diaper pail review by clicking it.

I've had 4 weeks of switching on and off between the 2 diaper pails and I'm ready to tell you which I prefer and which I recommend you purchase.

I choose...

Hands down, I choose the Diaper Genie Elite.

Now, I have never used either diaper pail before this testing and I'm not even going to bring up the one I was using prior to this. (I don't plan on using it again, so why bring it up, right?)

So, I know it's getting to you. You just have to know why I chose the Diaper Genie, right?

* The smell factor.
Both pails were designed to cut down on diaper odor. And guess what? Both do an equally good job of masking that odor and leaking that odor out. No matter what you buy, when you open it up to put in a diaper, some smell is going to get out.

*The size factor.
The Diaper Genie is MUCH easier to use as it stands much taller than the Arm and Hammer Diaper Pail. Anything I don't have to bend over to use while keeping a hand on my baby high on her changing table is great.

*The "ease" factor.
The Diaper Genie really is much easier to use. Step on the pedal to open it, throw in your diaper, and be done with it. With the Arm and Hammer diaper pail, I had to manually open it up, shove in the diaper (ew!), and then push the lid down.  (And for all of that work, it still smelled when I opened it up.)

*The $ factor.
The Diaper Genie is only about five dollars more expensive than the Munchkin diaper pail and the refills for each cost about the same amount. I say, pay 5 extra dollars and stick with what is easier in the long run. You will thank yourself for it every time you use the Diaper Genie.

So, there you have it. I didn't think I would choose the Diaper Genie when my 4 week test drive started, but I'm happy with my choice. Any questions?
