Aloha Friday ~ Sick House

Oh my stinkin' heck.. I made it to Friday in one piece! Woo to the Hoo! Now, I plan to kick back and relax {well, as much as possible} by joining the simple question/answer meme hosted by Kailani at An Island Life. So, why all of this celebration about making it to Friday? Ha! Well. Alex came down with croup on Sunday. We didn't know it was croup until we took him in on Wednesday to see his doctor. I just assumed it was a "bad cold" until the fevers got to scary heights and his cough turned into a bark. Mercifully, I found out that I was doing everything right to take care of him and he was already on the mend. Yesterday...Eliana woke up with a barking cough. *sigh*

Here's my question: Have you ever cared for someone with croup? This is our first run-in with it and I wonder if you have any pointers on how to get our little one through it. {I know about steamy showers, cold air outside, fever reducers, baby vapo rub} I guess I just want to spare my kiddos as much discomfort as I can.
