Lilac Clothing ~ Clothing for EVERY Body {review & giveaway}

Being pregnant means my body will be growing and changing quite a bit over the next 6 or so months. While I enjoy the different stages, I never look forward to shopping for maternity clothes. In fact, I try to make "regular" clothing work for me as long as possible. Why, you ask? Well, honestly, I don't necessarily care for the look of most maternity items out there.

Maternity should never equal "frump". A woman should be able to feel great about her body and wear items that help her achieve that feeling. Am I right? That's why I was immediately impressed with Lilac Clothing. 

Lilac Clothing makes clothes that make a woman feel good whether they're pregnant or not. Their styles are very feminine, stylish, and flattering. {There are about a handful of dresses I could be happy owning right now.}

I was offered a pair of Flap Denim Shorts to review and I was pretty intrigued to see what I would think about the way they fit. Here's the stock photo so you can see what they look like when you have a bit more of a pregnant belly.

And here are the shorts after they arrived to my home.

Here's what I like about this design.

1. They're modest. I don't have to worry about too much leg showing and the cut of the shorts is flattering to any figure.
2. They have a nice amount of stretch to them. This means that they move when I move and they can keep up with me. There's nothing worse than stiff, denim shorts when you have 2 little kiddos to keep up with like I do.
3. When the tummy panel isn't showing, these shorts don't look AT ALL like maternity. 
4. There is a hidden, elastic belt in the waist of the denim. It buttons on either side of the front and can be pulled and buttoned to the position that's most comfortable. This is perfect for those who are "all belly" but are still narrow at the hips.

They're cute, right? I'm beyond happy with them and especially like the fact that I can wear these all summer without worry of growing out of them.
