I live in a cozy condo that I’ve been working to make a “home” little by little. By that, I mean I’ve been looking for little touches here and there that make it mine and unique rather than generic.
I have dreams of gutting out my kitchen and completely remodeling it but that’s something that’s on the back burner considering the newborn little girl who has just arrived and needs many things that are more important than the kitchen makeover in my dreams.
However, I still look for little ways to “change it up” a bit and make it more “me”. That’s why I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to review a kitchen faucet from Price Pfister to help dress things up a bit in my kitchen.
Here’s my before picture:
It’s not too cute, is it? If you ask me, it looks like the “standard” kitchen faucet that would be found in any other condo or apartment. There’s nothing fancy about it and I’ve often complained that there was no room underneath it to fill a big pot or clean out something like a crock-pot.
I was given the choice of a few different kitchen faucets from Price Pfister and decided to go with the Cadenza. This style has a European flair to it. It’s meant for a 4 hole sink, has a high-arc faucet, and has a side spray and a soap dispenser. Of the 2 finishes available (bronze or steel), I went with the steel to match my stainless steel sink.
Here’s what my sink looks like now:
Since my sink only has 3 holes, we chose to leave the soap pump off for now until we’re able to upgrade it.
I can tell you honestly that I LOVE this faucet. The style and look of it is wonderful and it has made doing dishes, filling up the coffee brewer, and even giving little Eliana her first sponge baths very easy. The faucet itself pivots easily from side to side which will be great to have whenever I’m able to get that double sink I’ve been wanting to add. The sprayer is also great to have. It’s so helpful for giving the sink a quick rinse down after washing off dirty dishes or cleaning out the coffee filter.
Also, the hubster (who isn’t schooled in anything to do with plumbing) had very little trouble installing the faucet. The instructions that came in the box were simple to follow and the entire process took a lot less time than he had anticipated.
The quality and style of the Cadenza faucet from Price Pfister is top-of-the-line in my book. I would recommend this brand to anyone in the market for a new faucet for their kitchen or bath.
