What’s new on the home front??

“Congratulations, Amy! You have just been thrust into the world called ‘Mom of 2’. Please feel your way around, fly by the seat of your pants, and get ready to get slightly overwhelmed.”   This is what should have been attached to Eliana’s wrist or ankle as she entered the world. Or maybe, my Mom should have written a book called “So, you’re now a Mom of 2…” that would share all of her best kept secrets. In any case, the new baby came and I found myself quickly learning how to juggle responsibilities/domestic duties/diapers/feedings.

Is it overwhelming? You bet.

Do I love it? ABSO-stinkin’-LUTELY.

Would I change anything about anything? Nope. Not a chance.

I just wanted to share with all of you how things have been since Eliana’s arrived. It’s been a bit of adjusting but it’s also been lovely. Eliana is a pretty calm little miss and Alex is quite the protector. In fact, if I dare let her cry for more than a few seconds, Alex is in my face wanting to know what’s wrong with her while giving me the stink eye until I fix it. (It’s pretty adorable.)

I’m still adjusting to having 2 little ones to take care of. I’m assuming I’ll be in this “adjustment phase” for just a little longer. I have days when I’m completely exhausted and then I have days when I actually am able to get to putting in a load of laundry or cleaning up around the house.

I DO so love my life. I love my 2 bundles of mush. I know how blessed I really am.

And while I must be getting back to my daily grind, I’ll leave you with another little ray of baby sunshine.
