Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Kailani's question is:
How does your family celebrate Halloween?
My Answer:
We're still trying to figure out how we celebrate Halloween since this is the first year Alex can enjoy it. This year, he went to a party at Baby Loves Disco (review coming in a few days) and tonight he's going to my parent's church where there's candy and all sorts of games. This is what I used to do when I was little so I'm excited to take Alex.
My Question:
I heard Christmas music on the radio today. Is it too soon or could you listen to it all year?
it's too early...and the sad thing is, i know they start xmas earlier these days in hopes that people will spend more $$$ at the stores.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could experience xmas as my parents did, when all the celebrating began AFTER thanksgiving.
And lets be honest...xmas music is great, but there are NOT enough songs to keep me entertained for a full 2 months! I try not to listen until after turkey day.
i have already begun xmas shopping...so i guess that kinda makes me a hypocrite.
oh well!
TOO SOON!!! I want to hear it starting around thanksgiving! I LOVE christmas..but there is such thing as too much of a good thing!
ReplyDeleteToo soon we will be sick of it by the beginning of December.
ReplyDeleteI do want to decorate for xmas though.
As for halloween Jack will be going to bed at his normal time since he is just a little over 1 and we will hide in the back of the house, he went to a halloween party at his cousins house last night and had fun. But for this year life will go on normal in our house.
I personally think it is too early! I normally don't like to hear it until at least Thanksgiving
ReplyDeleteWAY TOO SOON!! At least wait until tomorrow.:)
ReplyDeleteOct 31 is a little early...but I am all about Nov 1!!
ReplyDeleteI actually can't stand to hear X-mas music before Christmas day... My husband is ultra traditional, and can listen to it all year... Me? Bah Humbug!!! lol... He's hoping that Maybe being a mom can change my scroogish heart... lol.. I say... Bah Humbug...
ReplyDeleteWe attend an annual Halloween Trunk and Treat with our grandchildren and then on Halloween night we enjoy handing out candy.
