He Made Me Cry

A few months ago, I got a great deal on a brand new Potty Scotty doll for Alex and thought he could play with him until we were ready to use him for potty-training. Well, we're not yet ready for potty training and Alex didn't care for his doll at all. Poor little Scotty sat in a canvas box under Alex's crib.

That is....Scotty sat alone for months until yesterday.  Suddenly, out of nowhere, Alex grabbed his baby, wrapped him in a blanket, and put him in his little wagon to take for a walk. Alex hugged his baby, fed his baby, burped his baby and carried him around for about an hour or so.

See that? Alex even gave Scotty a basketball.

Of course, I'm a huge sap and I started to cry. I thought it was so sweet to see my son take interest in caring for a baby. He's getting some great practice for being a good dad and maybe someday he'll make a great big brother.

  3. Oh that is too sweet. I hear you on being a sap. I love when my kids play with their dolls and treat them like little parents. It just shows us that we are doing our job right.
