I know it's best to be content with what you have.
I know some things are just not affordable.
I understand.
I do.
BUT...
I'm suffering (again) from "Rebel Envy". That's right. Mom-Mom (as Alex calls me) wants a Canon Rebel.
(Swoon)
Isn't she lovely? (yes, I'm singing in my head now)
Last year, the hubster and I had this discussion. Our camera wasn't cutting it and we needed a new one. I asked for this and it was out of our reach financially. So, I got a smaller Canon. I was happy. Our pictures were beautiful. It seems, though, even after sending it in for maintenence one time, that it doesn't work like it used too. I get a LOT of blurry shots now (yes, my lense is clean) and the little flash doesn't quite work the way I wish it would.
I shouldn't complain, I know. I try my hardest to make the best of what I have. I do!
I actually was quite content until family trips began happening. Taking Alex to parks, hotels, events and such is proving to be frustrating when trying to get that "perfect shot". I miss a shot due to the flash "warming up" or I get the shot and it blurs. In the end, I feel like a failure. (I'm pretty hard on myself since I'm the only one who takes pictures in my family.)
Not to mention, EVERYONE IN THE WORLD has a Canon Rebel or a similar camera by a different company when we take Alex out. NO FAIR! (tee hee) It certainly seems that once I set my eyes on something I want, I see it everywhere. Ya know?
Anyone want to help me get my dream camera? I'm taking donations!
pfft
Ya, right.
