Veggie Tales: Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Noah’s Umbrella (review)

My family loves Veggie Tales. With every new release comes a new lesson important for every child to learn.

We were recently sent the newest Veggie Tales release, Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Noah’s Umbrella, for review. The story line on this DVD begins with Minnesota Cuke searching for Noah’s Ark. During his search, he finds out about an umbrella that is very powerful. As the story moves on, you’ll see Minnesota Cuke battle with self confidence. I won’t tell you how the story ends, but you can be sure Veggie Tales has the perfect ending to this story to teach your little ones about the importance of being confident.  Also, this DVD features a new “Silly Songs with Larry” tune called “Sippy Cup”. As always, it’s funny to watch and very catchy.

I loved watching this DVD with Alex and he really enjoyed the story line. There were parts that made him laugh and other parts when he sat and watched closely. What’s even better is that he picks up something new each time he watches any Veggie Tales movie. This leads to great opportunities to talk to him and help him learn the point of the story.

If you have little ones getting ready to go back to school, this would be the perfect DVD for you. It will open a door for you to talk about being confident and doing what’s right. I know my family will benefit greatly from this and other Veggie Tales movies.

Here’s a coloring sheet for you to print if you’d like to.  (click the picture to enlarge it)

This post was written for Family Review Network as part of a program for Big Idea, who supplied the DVD for review.
