Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 & Private Practice Season 2 (review)

Released on September 15th (and not a day too soon if you ask me), Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 and Private Practice Season 2 DVD sets hit the store shelves.

If you follow the show Grey’s Anatomy, you’ll remember all the wonderful twists and turns that season 5 took. There were many wonderful moments and tragic moments that filled the season. Many happy tears as well as sad tears filled my eyes as I followed the season week by week.

I’m so happy to have this season at home so I can watch it all all over again. It’s the perfect way for this busy mom to take some “me time” and relax with an episode or two while my son is napping or my husband takes him out for some father/son time.

Here are the bonus features included in the set:

• In Stitches: Season Five Outtakes
• Dissecting Grey’s Anatomy: Unaired Scenes
• Heaven Sent
• 100th Episode: Tales from the O.R.

Buy It: Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 is available at many retail stores for around $59.99 (US)

Now, if you’re a Grey’s Anatomy fan, I’m sure you’re also a fan of its spin-off, Private Practice. This show’s second season has also just been released for sale.

privatepractice

I’m a huge fan of this show and of the character Dr. Addison Montgomery who was originally on the cast of Grey’s Anatomy.  I’m also loving the character of Dr. Violet Turner who is played by Amy Brenneman. She used to be on the show Judging Amy (another show I was an avid viewer of). And who can forget Taye Diggs? He has a wonderful storyline on the show that is complicated and wonderful at the same time.

If you haven’t watched this show, I would recommend it if you enjoy drama, romance, and suspense.

Bonus Features on this disc set are:

• Patient Confidentiality: Creator / Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes, Executive Producer Betsy Beers and actors Paul Adelstein (Dr. Cooper Freedman) and Amy Brenneman (Dr. Violet Turner) take a look back at the controversial issues encountered by the doctors of Oceanside Wellness Group in Season 2 of Private Practice.
• Life Through The Lens: The Pictures Of Chris Lowell
• Extended Episodes
• Deleted Scenes
• Bloopers

Buy It: This boxed set is also available at many retailers for around $59.99 (US).
