Rothschild Kids: Affordable Warmth For Little Ones {review and giveaway}

Being a stay at home mom to 2 little ones, I try my hardest to make sure that we don't spend an arm and a leg on clothing them. I buy a lot of items second-hand in an effort to save money. However, the hubster and I agree that there are some things that we need to buy brand new and from a reputable brand. One of these things would be winter coats. {Winters get cold and downright nasty here so it's very important that we have the best in winter gear for our little ones.}

Up until recently, I had never heard of Rothschild Kids. Fortunately, I was contacted and asked if I would like to check out a jacket and share about it with all of you! Rothschild Kids sent over a Winter Racer Active Jacket For Boys in a size 5/6 and a Navy color {charcoal and cobalt are also options}.  Now, this size is a little big for Alex but we're excited to have this waiting for him next year after he grows a bit.

Check out his coat!

Alex has recently discovered pockets and enjoys stashing things in them. This jacket is great for that. I can easily use the zippered pockets for his gloves {when he's not wearing them} and he can use the Velcro pocket toward the top for his own, secret stash of toys or even a small snack.

The hood is fleece lined and has an elastic band to help hold it up. I'm a big fan of this detail. There are often days when it's windy and cold out. On those days, even though he's wearing a hat, I pull his hood up to keep him warm and covered from the wind as much as possible.

Inside the jacket is another pocket. For older boys, this is the perfect place to store an MP3 player so they can listen to tunes while sledding or enjoying other winter sports. For Alex, it will probably be used to hold his favorite Hot Wheels car.

The top half of this jacket is lined in a nice, thick fleece. Talk about cozy. I know Alex will be extra warm in this and to me, warmth and protection from the elements are the most important things a jacket can offer a little one.

And here is my final, favorite feature on the jacket. The sleeves have Velcro at the ends so I can easily put his gloves on and make sure his sleeve is snug on his wrist. No one likes to get snow up their sleeve and this will help me make sure that doesn't happen to Alex.

Here's some information from the website for you.

Stylin’ stripes create a sporty look for this winter coat for boys.  Perfect for a day of snowboarding or sledding, the quilted, puffy lining keeps you warm and padded while shredding the slopes.  Zip pockets safely store your gear away.

This is the Embroidered Bubble Jacket For Infant Girls. Isn't it just divine? It retails for $50 and has all the features to make sure she would stay warm as well. The hot pink with the pop of orange is to die for. And I can't resist the faux fur on the hood. I have the same detail on my jacket and would love a little matching for the 2 of us.
