Yes. God Is Good.

There are many things going on around me today. And through it all, I've reached a place where I can lift my eyes and say, "Yes. God is good".

I don't say that in a easy kind of way. I don't say it as if to put a bandage on the latest wound; a way to cover up a vulnerable place. I say that because I know in my heart of hearts that it's true.

God is so good.

In every "No" there is a different kind of "Yes".

In every trial, there is a blessing, there is a lesson learned.

In every prayer offered up, there is an answer...even if that answer is silence. Because in that silence, is movement. In that movement, is God's hand. In God's hand, is a perfect peace.

But I won't find that peace if I don't trust Him. I won't see it if I try to put my answer and my ideas in the place of that peace. Myself and my ways will never fit inside the shape of His perfection.

In a way, knowing this makes life a bit easier. It takes the pressure off my own shoulders. If I can learn to hear His voice and follow His leading, I will be able to more easily navigate my way through life. More importantly, it will help me as an example to my little ones.

My kiddos ask questions all the time about things like, "Why didn't we get this house either?". It's a valid question. And while I could go into deep explanation of the housing market and how quickly things are moving, I find it more important to say, "You just watch, sweetie, God will bring us the perfect home." Through my example, they're learning to wait on God with a smile on their faces. They're learning that there are things more important than "things". They are learning faith, and patience, and prayer...and patience.

Romans 8:28 ~ And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
