Kushies' Organic Ultra-Lite Diaper {review}

If you happen to be in the market for an organic cloth diaper, allow me to point you toward the Kushies brand. They sent me this adorable, organic diaper in their Fanta Pink style, Infant size, and I am very impressed with it.

The outside of the diaper is made of nylon fabric to lock the moisture inside. This also makes the diaper lighter. There are many different patterns/styles available but I thought this print was just too sweet.

The inside of the diaper is made of organic flannel. That makes is super soft and super absorbent. There is a flap that is attached at the waste band to act as the soaker. However, there is also a pocket built into the flap where additional inserts can be added for those who wet a little bit more than others.

*Side note* I've never added anything to this diaper and I haven't had one leak from it yet!

Finally, the flap can be folded up for girls and left unfolded for boys. Wherever I need that extra layer of absorbency, I can just create it in the place I need it.

Kushies diapers also come with a booklet with specific instructions on how to take care of them. I'm so glad I didn't have to hop on a website to get basic information. This made it easier for me to wash it up so I could use it as soon as possible.

Let's chat about how this diaper fits. It has hook and loop fasteners, making it easy to create a custom fit for my daughter as she grows. Since this diaper is made for babies up to 22 pounds and mine is only 15, I figured out how to roll the front down for her leak-free fit. It's really simple to do. Also, if you'll look at the photos above, you'll see the velcro tab on the inside of the diaper too. This means I don't have to worry about any "sticking" disasters when I wash it with other diapers.

The cut of this diaper is a bit more narrow than the others I have and that made me a bit worried at first. I thought for sure this one would leak on me at least once. I've never had an issue and Mikayla seems to be pretty comfortable in this cut of diaper.

Beyond making quality, reusable diapers, Kushies also has a number of diapering accessories and a full line of baby products like toys, clothing, bedding, and more! You can keep up with them at their online magazine, and facebook page.

BUY IT: You can purchase your own organic cloth diaper from Kushies for 17.99-20.99 {depending on the size purchased}.
