I received this email today and I just had to come and share it with you as soon as I could. As you know, Mary Poppins is on her way to the Fisher Theatre this month. This is a play you WANT to see, especially in the company of little ones. It's a magical time and a night you will never forget.

Detroit, MI, Oct. 10, 2012 – Broadway In Detroit and Michigan Education Savings Plan (MESP) welcome young theatergoers to enjoy a special “Kids Night On Broadway” with MARY POPPINS at the Fisher Theatre on Thursday, October 25 at 6:00 p.m. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m.  Pre-show and post-show activities include story time with cast members, umbrella origami, FREE popcorn, FREE ice cream, and more! Kids’ tickets are specially priced at $9 with the purchase of an adult ticket. Before the show, the children will enjoy a special story time led by MARY POPPINS’ cast members from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m., FREE popcorn from Detroit Popcorn Company and an opportunity to create umbrella origami compliments of ARTS and SCRAPS.  

After the show, it’s ice cream for everyone! Treat Dreams ice cream shop will hand out samples of its specially created Mary Poppins ice cream flavor, A Spoonful of Brown Sugar, to all guests, while supplies last.
