Karen’s Cookies is an online store where you can find a variety of items to help you make many different types of sugar cookies. There is an array of cookie cutters and decorating accessories to help you create the perfect cookie no matter the occasion.
Beside the separate items, there are also cookie kits that will help you to be sure you have everything you need to create and decorate the cookie you want. There are Full Kits and Mini Kits that cover seasons, events, and celebrations. They vary in price depending on what you choose.
For this event, I chose the Baby Onesie Cookie Decorating Kit.
This kit includes:
- Instruction card
- Recipe sheet
- Onesie Cookie Cutter
- 7 Soft gel paste colors: Deep Pink, Royal Blue, Lemon Yellow, Bright White, Leaf Green, Violet, and Orange
- 3 oz. premium Meringue powder
- Cookie decorating spatula with wooden handle and stainless steel blade
- 12 disposable decorating bags
- 1 package small rubber bands
- Cookie scraper
- 4 metal decorating tips- #1, #2, #3, #4
I could have made many fun designs on my cookies like the ones pictured below. (images taken from the website)
I quickly learned that I’m not quite skilled enough for decorating with this level of detail yet. So, I made mine simple and cute by following the cookie and butter cream frosting recipes included in the kit. I decorated mine by making purple and pink colors of icing and making cute little hearts and snaps on the onesie cookies.
As for the recipes, I can assure you the cookies came out quite delicious. I sent some to work with the hubster and shared some with my friends who visited for a play date. They were enjoyed by all (especially me). If I were having a baby shower, I would definitely use this kit to make cookies to hand out as a party favor.
