What the Wonder Pet?

In my humble home, we only have limited basic cable as a means to keep our TV spending at a minimum. So, as a treat, I sometimes take Alex to Noggin.com where he can watch free episodes on our wide screen monitor.

Alex really likes Wonder Pets and right now, there's a full episode about a Bengal Tiger rescue. The episode is fine. I don't have any huge concerns or complaints. I am, however, a little confused about something.

At the beginning of the episode, the pets all decide to help the Bengal Tiger. Suddenly, and I do mean suddenly, the pets say, "We're doing yoga! This is called a tree pose!" As quickly as it appears, it's over and they move on to the actual rescue.

I started laughing as soon as I saw it. "What does that have to do with anything? I mean, it's enough that they have to sing every line in this episode. Why are they randomly doing yoga?"

Hmmmm....musical yoga...there's a concept. Wouldn't it be great if there were a yoga video where the instructor did a sing-song instruction of the awkward, pretzel twist poses he/she wanted you to do?

Anyway, back to WonderPets. I don't understand their random yoga fit but I guess it got them "chill" before their rescue of that bossy tiger.

Kid's TV is so weird sometimes.
