You know how it goes, one minute you have your grocery cart full of items next to your car, the next moment it's cruising down the parking lot...with your kid. Ah!
I never enjoyed having my grocery cart run away from me before I was a parent. I dislike it even more now with a tiny guy to worry about. In fact, the other night I was kicking myself for not having my Cartstopper with me at the grocery store. No, I'm not making this up. You can ask my hubster.
The Cartstopper (made by My Little Monkey's, LLC) is such a great little thing to keep in your car. It's very fast and easy to use. It makes unloading the gocery cart a lot less stressful. Convenience is the key word with this product and I don't like to think you can put a price tag on that.
For reviews like this, I usually like to use my own photos of Alex and I trying it out, but they're terrible compared to the press photos. So, I'll share those with you.
Just to give you an idea of the size of this, the latch alone is about 3 inches long.
The suction cup isn't going anywhere and you don't have to do anything but stick it on your car. (There's a little tab to pull up so you can easily remove it from your car.)
Seriously. Why did I not have mine in my car with me when I knew I was going to the grocery store?
This is one of those things that makes every mom say, "Why didn't I think of that?" Well, I don't think it matters. I'm just glad that someone else did.
The Cartstopper is only $9.99 and comes in 3 colors.
CARTSTOPPER was born out of necessity. Upon arriving at the local grocery store parking lot one day, I routinely began to transport my two children from my vehicle into a shopping cart. After successfully unloading my youngest child, I went to retrieve my eldest child from our vehicle when I heard a man scream, “Hey lady! Your baby!” I immediately turned around to witness my child, strapped in the shopping cart, quickly rolling away from my vehicle into the middle of the busy parking lot! Thank goodness the shopping cart came to a stop up against a standing vehicle awaiting a parking spot (as opposed to a moving vehicle). It was the most frightening (and embarrassing) experience of my life. I immediately began looking for a product that would help keep my shopping cart from rolling away from my vehicle. I was surprised to discover that no one had yet to offer an effective solution to this dangerous problem. That was when I knew there was a need for a product that “stops the run-away cart”!The Giveaway CLOSED
I know you need this. I know you want to get your hands on one. Well, I have one to give.

I like the light blue-ish color.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh but does it work on a VERY dirty car? If it doesn't I guess I could let hubby use it, lol! Red would be easier to spot in the mess that is my minivan!
ReplyDeleteI would get this for my mom-she always goes shopping, but her knees are bad and she can barely walk back to the car with her cart. (she uses the motorized cars in-store, but can't leave the store with them) she has had a couple of instances where her cart (and purse!) have gotten away from her and plowed into parked cars before she could catch them. This product is definitely something she could use!

I am a subscriber as well, and the color I'd choose for mom if I win would be red-don't think I added it in previous post.

I almost lost my cart complete with baby last night! I sure could have used this.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd go blue.
How cool! I'm out of town waiting on my new grand baby right now so I would definitely want one of these - in RED
ReplyDeleteI like the red one! Sometimes the most obvious solutions are right in front of us except they're in other people's minds. Doggone it. I wish I could invent something.
