I Saw Missy Higgins

Sunday night, I had the distinct pleasure of going to see Missy Higgins with my friend, Jenni. Jenni introduced me to Missy's music about a year ago and I fell in love with it right away.

Missy Higgins is a folky, Australian girl who plays the guitar and piano. She writes her own music and I think she's truly fantastic.

The opening musician for this show was Joshua Radin (spelling?) He was really good but I noticed every song was slow and in the same key as the last. If I weren't standing up, I would have fallen asleep. I think his CD would be great with a nice, long, hot bath. I would say it would be good in the car but then there's that whole "putting me to sleep" thing that I think is too risky. :) Perhaps one or 2 of his songs could make it on my iPod without harming me.

Missy Higgins has her own dot com if you're curious about her tunes. I really like her but she may not be for everyone.

P.S. If you watch the video, you may notice she's wearing the same dress as when I saw her in concert. That's so cool! I feel special.
