Alvin and the Chipmunks Releases (Review)

Two new releases that celebrate Alvin and the Chipmunks came out on September 8th. I was so very excited to review these DVD’s in my home with my son.

Alvin and the Chipmunks Go To The Movies: Star Wreck has 3 episodes on it. They are:

·     Star Wreck
·     Elementary, My Dear Simon
·     Chip Tracy

These three episodes are spoofs on the movies most of us know and love in true chipmunk style. They are so funny and a great way to enjoy something that we “get” as adults and our children like as cartoons.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Very First Alvin Show also is a DVD of 3 episodes.

·     The Alvin Show Episode #1 (Dolby Digital English Stereo)
·     A Chipmunk Reunion (Mono)
·     The Chipmunks Present Rockin’ Through The Decades (Mono)

This DVD is something that I loved watching with my son. The episodes date back to 1961 and it was so neat to see the origin of a cartoon that I loved watching as a child.  My son, who is 2, just enjoyed watching the show with me and actually wanted to watch it again when it was over.

These 2 DVD’s would make excellent stocking stuffers if you’re looking for early holiday gifts to purchase!
