Shred Sled (review)

Brand new to the market as a perfect gift idea for any child (ages 8+) or adult, the Shred Sled has made its debut.

The Shred Sled offers a unique experience in “skateboarding” that is more like snowboarding or surfing. With this board, there is no need to use your feet to propel you forward. Instead, riders will use their hips, arms, and legs to help them move.

The Shred Sled has 2 separate decks that have a flexible connector so both boards can move and rotate without any problem. Also, each deck has a surface that is easy for feet to grip on. This helps to maximize the rider’s stability.

As you can see in the picture to the right, the Shred Sled comes in 3 colors. Of the 3, I prefer the black color I was sent for review.

Here’s a look at the bottom of the board :

As a mom, this is the  part of the board I care the most about. This is what separates the Shred Sled from other competitors in terms of quality, safety, and the overall experience. The casters on the Shred Sled are made of aluminum rather than the metal casters on skateboards that tend to rust. The wheels are 4 x 80mm polyurethane and pairing those with the ABEC-5 bearings creates a smoother ride and less of a need to be replaced.

Now, seeing as I’m in my 8th month of pregnancy, I did not try this board out for myself. (lol) However, I do have a video to give you an idea of what the Shred Sled is all about.

I would also encourage you to read the customer testimonials from people who have bought the Shred Sled.

This board sells for $119 and can be bought directly off the Shred Sled website.

**I highly encourage the use of safety items like a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads when using the Shred Sled. Even the most skilled user will fall down at some point.**

**I was not paid in any way for my opinion. I only received an item to review in exchange for a post on my blog. Some readers may not agree with my opinion. I can not be held liable for any negative experience or injury someone has with this item. Please see my Disclosure Policy at the bottom of my blog page.**
