I recently heard about Bake Me A Wish. Perhaps you've seen reviews on other blogs. I wondered to myself if these cakes were really worth all the hype. Could they possibly be that good? You can imagine I was eager to find out for myself when they offered to send one for review.
When I told my contact at Bake Me A Wish that the birthdays of my son and husband were coming up, they wanted to send something very special just for them. They chose to send us the Triple Chocolate Brownie Cake. (That name just sounds good, doesn't it?)
When the cake arrived, we were all excited to open the box and see what our cake looked like. I thought the birthday card added a nice touch. Alex was more excited after hearing what the card said because then he knew that this cake was meant for him and his dad.
We all hurried through our dinner that night. We couldn't wait for dessert. And can you blame us? Look at what was tempting us all through our meal.
Why, yes, that is a Belgian chocolate "Happy Birthday" plaque resting on the chocolate glaze drizzled topping of the cake. Alex couldn't wait to get his hands on it. (Of course, we asked him to kindly wait until our little photo shoot was done.)
Yum! Just look at the chocolate shavings on the side of that cake!
In true birthday spirit, I got out a candle for the cake and sang happy birthday to my 2 favorite guys.
And after slicing into the Triple Chocolate Brownie Cake, I just knew it was going to taste amazing. What do you think?
I can tell you the cake is as good as it looks and even a bit better. This is something that I would love to try and create for my family, but I highly doubt I could ever come close to the the bit of heaven this cake really is. Thank goodness I now know where to find exquisite cakes for special occasions. Bake Me A Wish is the place to order cakes from online.
Let me share with you the website's description of the cake so you can understand where the "triple" comes in to play.
Our moist & fudgy brownie cake goes through three chocolate "passes" before it's "done": first it's enrobed in rich chocolate, then it gets completely blanketed with a shower of dark chocolate shaves; last, the cake is finished with milk and dark chocolate glazes drizzled all over and the Belgian chocolate plaque of your choice; for a brownie dessert that's over-the-top-triple-delicious!If you decide to order from Bake Me A Wish, please make sure to follow their recommendations for ordering as these cakes do arrive fresh and are perishable. Also, make note of the allergy information to be sure it's safe before you purchase it.
BUY IT: You can purchase the Triple Chocolate Brownie Cake for $39.95 from Bake Me A Wish.
