I use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for a few things around the house but I never thought of using it for beauty treatments. When Mom Central offered, I had to jump at the opportunity to try this out for myself and see if I really could create my own "mommy spa" by grabbing a box of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. Here's a look at the beautiful basket they sent me.
The basket included and aromatherapy candle, organic tea bags and a tea cup to create a spa experience; a nail kit, nail polish, organic body lotion and lavender oil for a manicure/pedicure; and a terrycloth hair wrap nd organic wash cloth for a facial. Since I was all set, I decided to choose a treatment to try out.
I decided to try the manicure.
I prepared the 2 parts baking soda, one part water mixture and had a bowl of warm water to rinse my hands in after the scrub. My hands were feeling so soft after that and I decided to lotion up my hands before I headed to the table to push back my cuticles the the tool in my manicure kit. I also decided to spoil myself and light a scented candle while waiting for my green tea to heat up in the microwave.
Now, this is the life!
After I finished with my cuticles, I filed and buffed my nails and applied some pink nail polish.
And what were the kiddos doing while I took a moment to pamper myself? They were playing in the next room. Lets raise our mugs and give a cheer to a mom taking a moment for herself! Stolen moments like these are important and I find the relaxed feeling lasts throughout the rest of the day. Who knew all of this beauty and pampering could come of a common, household item like Arm & Hammer Baking Soda?!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Arm & Hammer and received a beauty basket to thank me for taking the time to participate. The opinions and thoughts shared are mine and mine alone. Others may disagree or have a different experience.
