If you haven't guessed yet, I'm a glutton for coffee. I love it and my days are better if I get {at least} my morning portion. Keurig makes getting that morning Cup-of-Joe extremely easy with it's individual K-Cups. I love that I can choose what flavor I want and the next person getting coffee can have whichever he/she prefers. It's easy to operate, easy to keep clean, and gives me more of that precious time I need with my two kiddos.

This handsome brewer is the Keurig Platinum Brewing System in the Platinum finish. {It also comes in Midnight Black and Gloss Cinnamon.} The first thing I did when our Keurig arrived was to set it up on my counter top. I went through the menu options and easily set the time and even set it to turn off after being on {and unused} for an hour. Most of the time I remember to turn things off when I'm finished with them but as a mom who's always on the go, I'm happy that this is something that can take care of itself if I have to dash off.

The back-lit LCD screen makes it easy to see what I'm doing so I can get the right size choice the first time I try. Honestly, I like it dark and quiet in the morning. I don't turn on any lights so it's easy to find me fumbling around in the kitchen. The LCD screen is really the only thing on in my kitchen most mornings and it's not too harsh a glow for even me.

Did you see that? There are 5 different cup sizes available on the Keurig Platinum. Five! {4 oz., 6 oz., 8 oz., 10 oz. and 12 oz} I'm in heaven. I can fill a latte mug with no problem. On my other brewer {which you may recall my reviewing a bit ago}, I had to brew one cup size and then add in an additional brew to fill one of my big mugs. I didn't have to use 2 K-cups for that, but it did take a bit longer than a couple minutes to get what I was going for. Keep in mind, the drip tray can be removed to make plenty of room for those tall mugs.

My brewer also came with a 12 K-Cup variety box. This is included with your purchase from Keurig. There's a little bit of everything in there and it's a great idea to get a feel for what you may want to purchase first in terms of K-Cups.

"But Amy, the cost of those K-Cups can really add up after a while and I'm not sure I want to use those all the time!"

I see that and I raise you one "My K-Cup". With the My K-Cup, you can brew whatever coffee you like in the reusable filter. I have one {bought with my own money, thank you very much} and I love that I can grind up some fresh coffee beans for a gooooooood cup of coffee every now and then. The clean up is a little messy on that but it can really help out if you're budget minded like my family is. Truth be told, K-Cups aren't always in the budget but my brewing system is used all the time.

Let me chat with you a minute about the new Quiet Brew Technology. See, with my first Keurig, I was a little afraid to run it before the kids got up due to it's loud {albeit short} ways.  I live in a small home and was all "Shhhhh. Don't wake the kiddos" when I just couldn't wait for my cup of coffee. Now, I don't even think twice about it. The Quiet Brew Technology is quite impressive and I'd like you to hear...or not hear...what it sounds like. {Sorry it's sideways. Just consider that a smartphone video fail.}

Ah, yes. Brew away!

There are accessories you can buy to keep things tidy with your new purchase and absolutely loads of different K-Cups available. You can buy coffee, tea, and hot chocolate but don't be fooled into thinking your choices are limited. They are anything BUT limited. Personally, I prefer Gloria Jean's and Donut House K-Cups but that's because I like my coffee on the sweet side. Yum.

If you like to keep things simple and want to give any visitors you may have an option to choose their own favorite coffee, then the Keurig Platinum Brewing System is for you. It's an investment at a $179.95 price point but it's wonderful to have and I feel the investment really does pay off in the long run.

In September, I was able to host a giveaway for a Keurig Coffee Brewer from Shoffee.com. You can click the link to read over my review.

Shoffee.com was so pleased by the giveaway’s success that they’ve decided to offer another brewer for one lucky reader to win. But before I get to that, let me tell you about an excellent giveaway going on over at Shoffee.com!

shoffee.com

Shoffee.com is hosting 9 weeks of giveaways on their website. To enter, you only have to include one of the selected Holiday K-Cup flavors in your order. The first week’s prize was a Nerf Gun and THIS week (until 11-9), you can win a Nintendo DSi. The prizes will continue to get bigger and better so keep your eyes peeled on Shoffee Plays Santa for each week’s prize to be revealed.

Let’s talk about the K-Cup flavors involved in this giveaway.

First up, Gloria Jean’s Hot Chocolate. Clipboard02 I was able to try this out on my Keurig and I can tell you, it tastes fantastic. It has such a rich, gourmet, chocolate flavor to it. Of course, the smaller the brewing size you select on the Keurig, the more chocolate flavor you get. This is a “must have” for me as we head into the colder weather. And if you purchase yours now, it only costs $8.99 for a 24 pack of K-Cups.

Next, is Gloria Jean’s Holiday Traditions blend of coffee. This is a Medium Blend coffee with hints of milk chocolate, fudge, and caramel. I’m a fan of flavored coffee and I love this blend from Gloria Jean’s. The flavor is delicious yet subtle. It’s truly a flavor to sip and savor.

You can purchase your 24 pack for only $10.99.

Finally, you can buy Santa’s Buzz, the bold Holiday brew from Coffee People, to be entered for the giveaways on Shoffee.com. Santa’s Buzz is made from blending world coffees into each K-Cup. This is a Medium blend coffee but it has a kick to it. This will keep you buzzing as you go about your Holiday shopping for sure.

Purchase a case of 24 K-Cups for $10.99.

I was also able to try a new flavor of coffee from Timothy’s World Coffee. The flavor is Kahlua Coffee and it has quickly become one of my favorite flavors of coffee thus far.

4TKCE

Here’s a description of this flavor from Shoffee.com:

Kahlua and Timothys use only the finest quality 100 percent Arabica coffee beans. This mutual commitment to superior coffee ensures that the Kahlua K-Cup offers exceptional quality and a distinct taste experience. The coffee used is a smooth roast that captures the unique, rich flavors of Kahlua with accents of vanilla and caramel; it is sure to leave a lasting impression.

If you’re a fan of Kahlua, you will love this coffee for sure. You can purchase a case of 24 for $11.99.

There are many other flavors and many deals to be found on Shoffee.com. Visit there to purchase your coffee today!

Mrs_Banner_200x200(2)

I recently found something that is a perfect fit for me and my blog. I mean, what goes better with “Coffee with the Mrs.” than coffee…or…Shoffee?

On Shoffee.com, you can find Keurig brewers, K-cups (of coffee, tea, hot chocolate), and accessories for your Keurig. All of these items and more are offered at competitive prices compared to leading retailers.

I was able to review the Keurig Special Edition B60 Brewer in my home.  Since I had only heard about Keurig brewers, I wasn’t sure how to operate one and I definitely didn’t know how easy it was to use.

Special Edition B60

Setting up the brewer took only minutes and then I was on my way to brewing my first cup of coffee.  It was brewed to perfection and was packed with rich flavor.  This brewer has found a permanent home in our kitchen and I will be sure to buy some K-Cups form Shoffee.com for less than retail. (They’re seasonal flavors, like pumpkin spice, are available.)

Here are some specifics about the Special Edition B60 Brewer:

  • Has 3 different brew size options on the brewer
  • Has a programmable LCD message center
  • Has a removable 48 oz. water reservoir
  • Has a removable drip tray
  • Has a blue backlit  LCD screen and water reservoir
  • Chrome accents

Here is a look at how fast and easy the brewer is to use.
