**I received complimentary tickets from Broadway in Cincinnati in exchange for my honest review.

I was a guest last night at the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati, OH to see opening night of the Broadway revival, My Fair Lady.

This touring production is currently in Cincinnati until February 20th and it is a "DO NOT MISS" if you're a broadway fan.

This particular storyline is one I watched and learned as a little girl. I so badly wanted to be Eliza Doolittle, and so, my little bedroom became my stage. I would sing "I could have danced all night" over and over again. Last night, I had the pleasure of listening to that song and other beloved tunes sung by the most talented bunch of actors. Quite honestly, I was checking my playbill to see if Shereen Ahmed (Eliza) had also played Christine in Phantom of the Opera before. She has not but I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen some day. Her voice is so pure and dynamic.

There are so many laugh-out-loud moments in this play and others that are heartwarming. Still, the underlying theme of individual, human value cannot be missed. Eliza's story offers a bit of a "chin up" encouragement to those who feel overlooked and undervalued. We are more than our appearance. We are more than our career. Eliza shows us how important it is that we see others as people with feelings first.

One of my favorite laughs of the play is ACT I, Scene 6: "Outside a club tent, Ascot". Over and over again, I was giggling and laughing out loud. The stoic faces of those attending the race mixed with Eliza's "small talk" and cheering for Dover was perfection. I loved every second of this scene.

Really, I could go on and on but I'm going to have to leave the rest to you.

Get your tickets and fill the seats of the Aronoff for this beautiful production. You'll be glad you did. You may even leave thinking you could have "danced all night", too.

When you and your family are planning a trip to the Greater Cincinnati area, Newport Aquarium is a must for your itinerary. My family is new to the state of Kentucky and Newport Aquarium was kind enough to invite us for a visit. It was a great way to help us learn the lay of the land and enjoy family time together. {Thanks, Newport Aquarium!}

Visit NKY

Around every corner, we found something to "Oooh" and "Aaah" at. We saw so many things that we had never seen before. And if you're looking to learn a thing or 2, there is a wealth of information shared with visitors as you go. It's all about taking the time to stop, look, and learn.

Visit NKY

Newport Aquarium has a wonderful way of bringing visitors right into the waters our new fish friends live in. The more we are able to experience the beauty of our lakes, rivers, and oceans, the more we understand the need to take care of these places and protect the life in them.

There are amazing shows in the aquarium (check the schedule) that will teach you even more by the experts on staff. During the shark feeding, we saw this amazing visit from the sea turtle. He was one of my favorite things to see in the aquarium. And just beyond this room, there was a model of sea turtle eggs that shows how they're buried in the sand and how they make their way up to the surface to head to the ocean. My youngest was absolutely fascinated by it and hopes to see that in person someday.

There is a room dedicated to frogs. So many neat species can be found there. You'll also find the kid's play area in this room. It was a welcomed break for Mom and Dad who sat down to relax while the kiddos had fun. The one pictured above is called a Milk Frog. Isn't he neat looking?

Visit NKY

There is entire room dedicated to seahorse types of different kinds. They are so fascinating to see! My favorite was the sea dragon (pictured above) and one called the big bellied sea horse. That name cracked me up because the first thing I said when I saw them was "Look at that big belly!". I guess I could have named him, myself. (Ha!)

Sharks and rays of different kinds are 2 things that absolutely took our breath away. It's amazing to stand in the tunnel and look up and all around you, watching the sharks and rays swim around. There are also incredibly huge fish we've never learned about before our visit there. We couldn't help but say "WOW!" when we looked into their tank. And, I'd like to add, the tunnels that surround you with ocean dwellers are wonderful spots to stop and observe what you see. Some places even have spots where you can look down and see them swimming beneath you as well.

**Psst: be sure to check out the schedule online for the overnight visits where you can sleep beneath the sharks! If you're unable to make a previously scheduled stay, you can arrange your own private overnight visit with a group of friends/family.

There are a good amount of lizards and other reptiles to see throughout the aquarium. This guy just cracked me up when I saw him sitting under this sign. Anyone familiar with the song that goes, "I WANNA ROCK!!!". He's totally singing the iguana version in his head. I can tell. LOL.

Ah, Stingray Bay...I could stay in this one spot for an entire afternoon. I love the opportunity to pet the stingrays and on this visit, I convinced my son that he should try it, too. After he did, he was addicted...just like his mama. He didn't care what was ahead to see. He wanted to stay right where he was.

I loved how brave he was and how he quickly began to love the stingrays like I do. (We bought him a stuffed stingray in the gift shop on our way out).

And who can forget this fella? He was just still and staring at us like "Hello! Take a picture with me!". We laughed and laughed and he didn't move. I tried my best to mimic his face. Then I told the other couple in the tunnel that he was ready for his next selfie, if they were. We all enjoyed his...um...hospitality?

There are loads more pictures I could share from our visit and there is much more to see than what I listed. Penguins, Touch pools where kiddos can touch starfish and sea urchins and crabs as well as sharks. There are alligators and piranhas, an octopus and jellyfish. THERE.IS.A.SHARK.BRIDGE! You really just have to go and take it all in for yourself. :)

There are opportunities to add on to your entry ticket and get behind the scenes with your visit. You can even have an encounter with the penguins. That is something my 8 year old wants to do since she dreams of growing up to be a veterinarian.

What is your favorite thing(s) to see at an aquarium? Have you visited Newport Aquarium in Newport, Kentucky?

Plan your visit soon!!

**read the disclaimers at the bottom of this post**

OOOhhhh man. Y'all. I am beyond stoked to tell you about my little experiment and the results thereof. But first, I have to backtrack a bit and give you some details leading up to this.

I'm a mom of 3 kiddos which means my body has been through the changes pregnancy brings to a body 3 separate times. Can I tell you? It's hard to recover from that, physically speaking.

I began to hear this sort of conversation happen amidst moms that sounded something like "Your body will never be the same" and "You can't go back to that young body after you've been pregnant". And since I was seeing how different my body looked, I just agreed and went along with that school of thought.

But back in February of this year, I had started to think about making an attempt at taking control and taking my body back. Honestly, I wanted an easy way out. I started an essential oil regiment where I used Lemon, Peppermint, and Grapefruit Vitality oils in my water and saw absolutely no major changes....because I was doing literally nothing else different. I snacked like crazy on all kinds of sugary snacks and never ever limited my portions...and exercise? Pfft. No time for that!

From there, I began to suffer from a sort of body dimorphic disorder where I only ever saw myself as fat, lumpy, and gross. This is a dangerous place for my mind to go because I went through an anorexic period in life while a abusive boyfriend would tell me multiple times a day how fat I was. I have fought every day to not return to that behavior because I have 3 beautiful kiddos who watch me very closely.

That leads me to this experiment. I had watched this product being revealed at the Young Living Convention this year and thought, "Now. Don't wait any longer. Take the leap, take back your body, and set a healthy example for your little ones and friends." I ordered myself a box of Slique CitraSlim and waited for it to arrive at my doorstep.

Once it arrived, I looked the box over to see exactly what the product would help me achieve along with directions on how I should be using it. It was very specific and I took it literally. I had to take the supplement while eating a sensible diet and doing regular exercise. "Ok" I thought to myself. "It's time to go all-in...and here I go."

Let's cover a few more details on Slique CitraSlim before I tell you what I did on my own and show you my progress so far (I can't wait to show you!!!). What exactly does this supplement claim to help with? Check this out.

Y'all, these claims are huge! When I read that, I couldn't wait to get started. (I also encourage you to check out the Slique in 60 program & guarantee. It's good, good stuff! )

Since I started using this, I have felt more energetic and have seen a HUGE difference in my mood, my cravings, and my body.

How did I use this? While following the dosage directions, I added in exercise nearly every day and started being more careful with my food choices. I also started drinking A LOT more water. By "a lot", I mean around 64 oz. per day.  For my size, I only need to drink 50, but a good work out automatically guarantees I'm going to drink a ton of water.

Exercise:  Friends? I do this all at home when I'm able to get to it (morning or afternoon). I've been enjoying the workout playlists that Refit Revolution posts on YouTube and will be subscribing to their on demand work outs through their website soon. (And maybe buying some cute workout gear, too? Yah. Probably buying cute gear too. lol)

I have had THE BEST time working out with these gals via technology and am seeing serious changes in my muscle tone and even my self-confidence & self-esteem.

Goals: Possibly become a Refit instructor to teach other people the ways of family friendly dance fitness. Also, find a used elliptical and use that in between big work outs.

Lifestyle blog

Eating: In my home, we always have healthy options on hand for meals and snacks...but we also have some junk food around too. Since I've had such a horrible relationship with food in the past, I wanted to be reasonable going into this experiment. I LET myself eat things like Peanut Butter M&M's or some other sweet snack from time to time. I think to deny myself all that kind of thing is going to put me in a bad mindset right now. The beautiful thing is that my cravings have totally changed which means I don't want to binge on any unhealthy thing. I WANT to make healthy choices and am totally fine with finding out what a "serving size" is on a snack food and sticking with that. Admittedly, when I ended up eating junk, it wasn't because I craved it, it was because I saw it and thought I would like to have it whether I was hungry for it or not.

Goals: To continue to care for myself this way and make more protein shakes than I eat junky treats. (While still allowing myself to eat things like cheesecake...y'all...I couldn't ever give up cheesecake!)

RESULTS:  Friends, this is the difference 15 days using this supplement with exercise and healthy food choices makes. Ready?

lifestyle blog

AHH!!!! I can't tell you how much I love this and how inspired I am. When I first put these photos together I couldn't help but cry happy tears. Yes, I'm getting results. But I'm also so proud of myself because I'm doing this in a healthy way that honors my mind, my body, and my soul. This has been the most positive change for me and I'm going to keep going.  I lost over 3 inches in my waist line, 1.5 inches around my hips, and 5 pounds...ALL IN 15 DAYS! That is only 1/4 of the way through the Slique in 60 program I mentioned earlier.  WOO HOO!

Goals: To strengthen my core, build muscle definition, and focus on healthy food choices while maintaining my current results.

*My results may not be typical and can vary on an individual basis.*

Check out the Supplement Facts and Ingredients...This is a product made of things that have the same Seed to Seal guarantee as the bottles of essential oils I have on my shelf. I love that so much. I know that there were no shortcuts taken in the production of this supplement and I absolutely recommend this to anyone. Just be sure that it's cool between you and your doctor before you jump in, mmmkay?

AANNND...if you're ready to jump in, y'all let me know! Let's do this together. I can get you all set up whether you want a starter kit or just the supplement itself. Comment here, email me, message me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter...whatev! ASK YOUR QUESTIONS. Let's chit chat and take back our bodies, our self esteem, our confidence, and our health.

If you're a fan of online shopping for women's clothes and like a good deal, you're going to want to check out Simple Addiction. I was just on there a couple weeks ago and got this fun lot of wears for $10!

Cute, right? It's a "Wifey" racerback tank and 5 Chelsea Charm bracelets. The bracelets come in either silver or gold finish and there are a variety of charms available. I purchased a key charm, an ampersand, an arrow, a cross, and a infinity symbol bracelet. These are super cute and stack up to create quite the arm party. (ha, ha)

The best part of purchasing these bracelets? I bought them for only $0.01 a piece. ONE PENNY, WHAT? I was sure it was an error but nope. It's legit. So this happy, arm party only costs me 5 cents. Whoop, whoop!
Their price is now back to $2.95 a piece (last I checked) but keep an eye on the website for more flash sales!

Now let's take a look at this tank. It was on sale for $9.95 . I bought a size Small and really like the fit. It's not too snug or too short. It's loose fitting and long. I'm excited to wear this with my black palazzo pants this summer. What a cozy combination. <3
