Silikids Giveaway!

taken from the silikids website

I happened upon this company after looking over a list of vendors at an expo. What I found on their website really excited me. Their products are a healthy, adorable, and durable. They are all made from silicone.

Why silicone? Let's look to the website for their answer:
  • Silicone is hygienic and hypoallergenic. Its rubber like material is safe, durable and pliable, there are no open pores to harbor bacteria.
  • Silicone is easy to use and to clean. Microwave or freezer safe/dishwasher and washer & dryer friendly.
  • Silikids products are all made from medical grade silicone.
  • Silicone does not fade or scratch.
  • Silicone is extreme temperature resistant.
Alex and I were able to review a silibib. When I first took it out of the packaging, I was thinking "Wow. What in the world?" The bib has such a different texture. Alex and I played catch with it for a minute. He thought it was fun to throw it. :) Then we tried the bib as we should have to begin with. (What can I say? I'm a big kid at heart and I love to play with my son.)

This bib is one of 4 colors available. Although, I am partial to this color for my boy. ;)

My favorite thing about the bib is that it is SO easy to clean. Any mess wipes right off in an instant. And, I can't forget to tell you how much I love that I can throw it in the diaper bag and not worry about it getting ruined at all.

Here's a little info about the mamas who started this company:

It all started when two new mothers and close friends exchanged tips, ideas and concerns about their growing babies. They knew they needed certain items for them and just couldn't find what they liked or wanted. Silicone is introduced into baby's life right from the start with bottle nipples and pacifiers. As new mothers, they came to understand the versatility and brilliance of it. Hence the beginning of Silikids, practical, well designed, stylish silicone products that meet the needs of your little one as he or she goes from baby to crawler to toddler.

  1. Amazing! I was reading through this thinking, "I hope she's giving away a bib, I hope it's a bib!"
I really like all the colors but if I HAVE to choose one...I pick blue/brown.

  4. I like the gray/orange one your little guy is wearing.

Do they come off easily? My little one is always pulling his bib off. We even bought him the kind with a t-shirt like collar and he can get those off now too.

  7. I would give the light aqua one to my sister-in-law who has 2 under 2. It's closest to her favorite color - Tiffany Blue - which she won't be able to invest in for a while!

  8. My choice would be the red with white! Red is by far my favorite for everything!
