It’s time to post a quote and join in with A Daily Dose of Toni for Quotable Sunday.
I’m kind of “cheating” with my choice of what to quote for today but I feel this bears repeating. If you don’t watch So You Think You Can Dance, you may not be aware of the powerful tribute that was made to breast cancer last week.
I’ve never personally known a woman to battle breast cancer but I have seen women affected by someone dear to them battling cancer. My husband is a cancer survivor (almost 5 years in remission I believe) so this piece moved me to tears almost immediately. To know the strength behind the fight and witness it first hand is something I never thought I would know.
Now, a dear friend of mine just received news that cancer was found in her body and I watch as that news settles in a little deeper each day. She looks beyond herself and only wants to know that her friends are doing well. Her strength is intense and fierce and I admire her greatly for that.
Please keep my friend and her family in your prayers. In fact, pray for every individual and family faced with this battle. Cancer can be an ugly thing and these people need God’s strength.
