5 years ago, the hubster and I said "I do". Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and we were happy to  share such an amazing time with family and friends. And 5 years later, I still get as giddy as our wedding day whenever the hubster is around.

I can't believe all that's happened in our 5 years together. It's been quite an amazing ride.

Ups and downs and in-betweens considered, I can't wait to see the next 5 years and beyond.

My hubster is THE best and God has been so good to us.

I love you, pumpkin! May God continue to smile on us and our family. Here's to His faithfulness and our shared love. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

And now, if you please, I would love you to join me in listening to the song I walked down the aisle to. It's not traditional at all but it fits the hubster and I perfectly. In fact, we had musician friends Tone & Niche playing at our wedding ceremony which made it extra special.

**sigh** I love love. :)

Oh. And don't worry. We've been celebrating in style. I'll share more about that soon. :)

I married my best friend and the most wonderful man I’ve ever known (aside from my dad, of course.)

DSCF0743The morning of the big day, my dress (handmade by my mom) and shoes were waiting to be worn.

Because my dress was so full, my mom had to help me get my shoes on.

The girls and I posed for a few pictures and then…

I had to sit down. The butterflies were getting the best of me.

The music started up. They were playing “Moonglow” and that was when

my dad and my grandpa walked me down the aisle.

We said “I do”

and sealed it with a kiss.

There were more pictures and then

there was dancing.

There was also a beautiful honeymoon escape to the mountains of Tennessee that I will never forget.

I will always remember the beauty of this wedding day. The fall colors that were used to decorate the reception hall were breathtaking and the joy that warmed my heart is unforgettable.

I’m blessed to have had such a perfect wedding day. I’m even more blessed that the man who was waiting for me at the end of the aisle still looks at me with the same loving eyes as we grow as a couple and continue to grow our family.

ATWT
Today’s A Thousand Words Thursday is very special. Tomorrow, the hubster and I will celebrate 4 happy years of wedded bliss. It’s been a wonderful journey so far and I can’t wait for more.
The hubster has been my strength, my better half, my heart’s song, my joy, my Jiminy Cricket, my partner in crime, my support, and much much more. I’m head over heals in love with him and am convinced that our love will only grow deeper with time.
Be still, my heart!

Thank You For Your Friendship and Love
Nicholas Gordon
Thank you for your friendship and your love.
However life may turn, this gift will be
A mountain that has made my river bend,
Nor will it flow the same way to the sea.
Knowing you is something I'm made of.
Years will not this part of me remove.
One lives for just a brief eternity,
Understanding truths that never end.
…And now that my eyes are sweating, I’ll wrap up this post. :) If you have a photo to share for A Thousand Words Thursday, click the banner at the top of this post to be taken straight to Jen’s post. :)

ticket

The hubster and I were looking for ideas of things to do to celebrate our anniversary coming up at the end of this month. Imagine his excitement when I told him that we were able to get college football tickets. We’ve always watched the Michigan Wolverines play on TV since we started dating. Well, as much as possible I mean.   We’ve joked about going to a game but Michigan Wolverines tickets are not easy to get for a reasonable price.

However, since I’m now an “Official Event Chaser”, we’ll finally be able to go to the “Big House” with our Wolverines vs. the Indiana Hoosiers tickets and watch the game while taking in all the energy around us. I just know it’s going to be a great time!

Following the game, I’ll have a post up about our experience with pictures and plenty of stories (I’m sure).  I can’t wait for our big date and for the fun we’ll have.

*Pssst….if you’re a blogger, click the ticket at the top to find out how you too can be an Official Event Chaser.
