I received something of value from Feld Entertainment as part of their Insider Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

If you have a little one in  your home, you may want to perk up your ears for a moment while I tell you that Disney On Ice FROZEN is coming to Detroit! The show skates into town and opens on Friday, March 12th and heads out to their next destination after their shows on March 15th.

I'll share with you some of the fun details from the Press Release.

The Academy Award^® winning tale will be told live for the first time in this production, capturing the dynamic between two royal sisters, Anna and Elsa.  Anna, a girl with an extraordinary heart, embarks on an epic journey to find her sister, the magical Elsa, who is determined to remain secluded as she finally feels free to test the limits of her powers. Rugged mountain man Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, the lovable and hilarious snowman Olaf and the mystical trolls help Anna along the way in this story about love conquering fear.  Audiences will get to sing along with such musical masterpieces as "Let it Go," "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" and "Fixer Upper."  {credit:Press Release}

In Disney On Ice presents Frozen, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse take the audience through the magical story based in Arendelle, with special appearances by beloved Disney princesses and favorite characters from Disney∙Pixar's Toy Story and Finding Nemo and Disney's The Lion King, who come together to prove that true love is the greatest power of all.  Director Patty Vincent says, "Our goal is to showcase these heartwarming characters in a way that allows the audience to cheer and sing along throughout this emotional journey." {credit: Press Release}

I know my girls are going to love seeing this show and I honestly cannot wait to see the excitement on their faces when Elsa and Anna take the ice for the first time. I'll have to be sure to take pictures and tell you all about it.  Anyway, I'll bet you're looking for dates and ticket info.

Last night we were able to surprise our kiddos with an evening out at Disney On Ice. We decided to not tell them about it until dinner time and they were very excited.

{Just for the record, I can't tell you how thankful I am for the handicapped seating that was available to us. It made it easy for me to enjoy a night out with my family.}

For me, the greatest part of the night was not the show, but seeing my little Eliana falling in love with everything she saw. She was clapping, dancing, and yelling "HI!" and "BYE!" as the characters came on and off the stage. It was priceless, really.

Here are some pictures from the show.

Make sure not to miss this show! Both boys and girls will find something they enjoy and it will only be around until Sunday!

Of all the Disney On Ice shows we've seen, I think Alex is looking forward to this one the most. Toy Story 3 will be played out before him and he'll be able to see life-size versions of his favorite characters. However, I think he's a tad confused about the whole thing as he thinks the Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie friends that he met in Florida are the same as those who will be in the show. {Isn't that the sweetest?}

If you live in the Detroit, MI area, I want you to be able to see the show too! I have some great deals to get you and your family out for an afternoon or evening together. {Click the photo if you need to enlarge it.}

If you've been following my blog for a bit, you'll know that my son and I have been able to check out the Disney On Ice shows and share with you about our experience. Last night, Alex and I headed out for our "date" to see Let's Celebrate. I'll say right off the bat, this show is still in town through tomorrow and I HIGHLY recommend seeing it.

A friend of mine went to see the show on Wed. and she told me it was her favorite show so far. I was intrigued by that but I waited to see it for myself before I agreed or disagreed with her. Well, I can tell you with confidence that somehow, someway, the Disney On Ice shows continue to get better. I agree that this one is the best yet.

Alex and I really enjoyed this show that covers many different kinds of celebrations. From birthdays, to summer vacation, to Christmas and in between; Mickey Mouse and the gang covers all sorts of fun celebrations. A few of the favorite parts for Alex were the birthday party with Alice in Wonderland, seeing Mickey Mouse in China, and seeing the gang from Toy Story. Personally, I really enjoyed how Princess Tiana was included in the show along with Mardi Gras. It was so bright and colorful and the music was very fun.
(I haven't seen The Princess and The Frog yet but will be seeing it for review soon.)

Here are some pictures from our experience:

 *Alex and his new binoculars*

 *A very merry un-birthday*

 *"Girl talk" about Valentine's Day.*

 *The toys are back in town*

*Minnie in Japan*

And finally, this is THE moment of the evening that I adored. This little girl wanted to say "Hi" to Minnie so badly but was starstruck instead. Just a piece of Disney magic for you.

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend (in the Detroit, MI area), I encourage you to take the family to see Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic. My family had the opportunity to go on Wednesday evening and we all enjoyed it.

Our evening started out with a special event hosted by Mom Central and Feld Entertainment. We had yummy food, met other bloggers, and even met Mickey and Minnie in person. Alex was SOO excited to meet Mickey Mouse.

Alex also received a special gift bag full of goodies. He found a hat, a Mickey Mouse doll, and a coloring book inside and held on tight to his Mickey doll for the rest of the evening.

After this very special and memorable event, we headed down to our seats to enjoy the show.  We were able to sit “center stage” and right off the floor. The view was perfect and Alex was jumping up and down in anticipation.

We all enjoyed the show immensely. The hubster and I remembered many of the characters who told their stories and I found myself singing along to many of the songs.  Alex was mostly excited to see Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Buzz Lightyear, and Woody. He danced to their songs and stared in amazement. This was truly a night that we all felt the “magic” of Disney.

Here’s a look at the show from our seats.

I won’t spoil the whole show for you so you can get out and see it yourself. :)

Thanks again to Mom Central and Feld Entertainment! We loved our time together and can’t wait to enjoy another chance to team up with you again.
