The Spring season is upon us bringing Summer right behind it. For me, that usually means I'll be wearing lighter clothing and accessories for comfort's sake. I like to keep it simple but I still like finding pretty things to wear.

I was recently sent the Persuasion ring to review from Blue Steel. And when this blue and silver little box arrived at my home, I was all sorts of giddy. {What is it about the little box that makes opening jewelry so exciting?}

Review

Perhaps the excitement is from being able to see what it looks like in person. I saw the stock image of this ring but I wasn't sure if the piece itself would hold up to that picture since I've never received anything from Blue Steel before.

I'm happy to report, it was love at first sight.

review

Simple, delicate, and dainty are the words I would use to describe this ring. It sparkles all the right ways and the fit of the ring is just right. It's very well made and it has kept all its beauty, even through my parenting, and homeschooling, and dish washing, and so on. I see no scratches or discoloration on this ring at all.

review

Let's talk about this ring with a little more detail. The ring itself is titanium. This titanium is 100% hypoallergenic and allergy free. That means you don't have to worry about irritation or discoloration. Also, titanium is a very strong metal and that's why I haven't seen any scratches or marks on it while I've been wearing it almost daily for the past few weeks.

The stones in the eternity band are CZ's, but the way these stones are set in the band makes them look pretty authentic. The clarity of the stones might be the real giveaway here. However, if someone just looks down and sees the ring, I don't think anything about it would scream "fake" at them.

BUY IT: This ring can be purchased from Blue Steel for $99.99.

** Thanks to the PR firm or brand for the item to review. This review is based strictly on my experience and opinion. There was no compensation for the review itself or to influence my choice of words. Others may not agree or may have a different experience.**

One of my favorite accessories just happens to be jewelry. With the most simple piece of jewelry, you can make a statement or complete a look. Personally, I like to find little things to add to my outfits every day to make me feel fabulous.

If you're a fan of simplicity and making a statement with jewelry, allow me to introduce you to Alex and Ani. You may have heard of Alex and Ani in Oprah's magazine. Or maybe you just saw them featured in Glamour magazine. In any case, I want you to know about them as I'm a new fan and hope to collect a few other pieces from them.

For this event, I was sent the Love Expandable Wire Bangle in Russian Gold to review.

I loved the presentation as I opened the box to see the bracelet inside. The card was so neat and it really made me smile.

Take a look at that bangle bracelet. Go ahead and click it to get an even closer look. It's so beautiful and meaningful while it maintains its simplicity. This is the perfect thing for me to add to my everyday outfits. It adds that little something while it also reminds me of the power of love every time I see it.

I don't know about you, but I find it hard to love everyone all the time. Wearing this bracelet reminds me to love and love and love again. It helps me keep my perspective and that encourages me to choose loving others. (Sometimes this is easier said than done, I know. The reminder is nice to have, though.)

I'm also loving these Tigris Small Endless Hoops
 and this Dulcet Hairpin.
You see? There's a little bit of something for everyone there.

Here's some information about Alex and Ani taken from the website:

Alex and Ani's mission is to design products that adorn the body, enlighten the mind, and empower the spirit. Alex and Ani's collections reflect a design aesthetic that celebrates each wearer's unique essence. Owner and designer Carolyn Rafaelian believes it is her life's work to inspire her customers to relish what is unique and authentic about themselves. Alex and Ani's artistry lies in drawing out the beauty that resides within.
This description perfectly matches my experience with Alex and Ani and I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience that .

BUY IT: The Love Expandable Bangle can be purchased for $21

Also, Alex and Ani have offered you a discount of 10% off your purchase at the website! Just enter "IC2010" at checkout. Please note, this code is case sensitive.

Go find and buy the jewelry that inspires you!

** Thanks to Alex and Ani for the bangle bracelet to review.**

This year I have many things to celebrate. However, I celebrate few things as much as I celebrate my kiddos.  Just hearing their names brings a smile to my heart. So, as you can imagine, wearing their names makes me glimmer with pride. Yes, I am a proud mama.

That said, I am not one for some of the "cute" jewelry designs that exist for moms. Thankfully, neither were Nelle & Lizzy and that's exactly how their rings were born. They make jewelry that is purposeful yet simple and understated.

For this event, I was sent a double ring with the names Alexander and Eliana stamped on. As I opened the box to look at the ring, my heart just melted. I loved everything about it.

Absolutely stunning. The two names intertwined is the perfect way to wear them as they both have equal parts of my heart. I wear it next to my wedding band. My left hand, that is closest to my heart, wears the rings that represent the 3 (for now) loves in my life.

Let me point out a few of my favorite things about this ring. At first I thought it would be uncomfortable to wear a ring like this but it's really no different than wearing a single ring. It's not in any way uncomfortable. (The two rings move separate from each other but are intertwined together.) Also, the ring is stamped sterling silver...not engraved. (Yes, there is a difference.) The stamped letters are set deeper into the silver so you can really see the names.

This is the perfect way to celebrate the special ones in your life. Whether you want to make a ring for a newly married gal (with her name and his), a friendship ring, or a ring for a proud mom or grandma, these will  definitely touch the hearts of those who receive them. (Be sure to visit the "rings" page on Nelle & Lizzy as there are different styles available that may be more suitable to your taste.)

If you're more of an earing, necklace, or bracelet girl, those are options at Nelle & Lizzy as well.

**Mother's Day is on the way!!!**
BUY IT: You can buy a double ring like mine for $72

When I think of Spring, I think of COLOR and fun ways to add color to my wardrobe. I've always been a fan of tying in pops of color with my accessories and jewelry. There's really no limit to the different looks you can give a few pieces of spring clothing given the right accessories.

Guy and Eva have loads of options when it comes to jewelry pieces to enhance and compliment your look. Go ahead and take a peek at their catalog. You're sure to find something you like and may be surprised by its affordable price.

Now, I'm not sure about you, but I'm all about presentation. If I'm going to get some nice jewelry, I want it to arrive in something other than tissue paper. I love pretty boxes and fancy wrapping. (What can I say? I'm a girl like that.)

When my jewelry arrived from Guy and Eva,  I was wowed for sure. I appreciate their attention to presentation. It honestly made me feel special to open up what they shipped to me and I tried to think of what nice item of clothing I could wear these pieces with.

For this event, I was sent the Misty bracelet and the Skye necklace from the Spring/Summer catalog. Here's a look at the first impression view.

The sky necklace is made of glass and resin beads. I've always been a sucker for a stunning, chunky necklace. (Just ask my mom.) I love the earthiness of the look and the different ways necklaces like this can be made.

The turquoise color beads on the necklace matched with shades of white and opal make it really glimmer. After my first look, I thought this necklace had a wonderful, ocean look to it. I think this looks amazing with a simple, white top or even a very light shade of blue. A simple backdrop can really make the colors in this necklace dance.

Also, the Skye necklace can be worn a few different ways. Here's a look at the necklace worn simply.

And here's what it looks like if you double it up so it rests on your collar bone.

I think the camera picked up the turquoise color wonderfully but it scarcely does this necklace justice. You need to see it in person to get the full affect.

Next, I'll tell you more about the Misty bracelet. This little beauty is made from hand painted enamel and has a hinge on it that makes putting it on and taking it off quite easy. The real bonus to that, for me, is "fit". I have an extremely small wrist and get nervous when things like bracelets or watches are purchased for me. If it's not something I can adjust, I normally don't buy it or wear it (if it were a gift). Since the Misty bracelet is made a little on the snug side, I can wear it comfortably without any problems.

As I hinted to earlier, there are many different styles of jewelry available at Guy and Eva. A great opportunity to get your hands on a lot of what they sell and possibly even keep some of it is in hosting a party. If you set a date for a party with Guy and Eva, the rewards are many. From free jewelry, to discounts on more jewelry, to shopping from pieces only available to hostesses, you're sure to have a great time.

And if one party isn't enough for you, maybe you should look into being an advisor. You can make some cash on the side or make it a full time, paid hobby. (Yes, playing with jewelry is a hobby.) I looked over their advisor page and there are a lot of benefits to working with Guy and Eva. Check it out!

I was able to review the Black Cubic Zirconia Sterling Silver Butterfly Pendant.

Isn't it beautiful? This pendant comes on an 18 inch, sterling silver chain that is comfortable and strong at the same time. The pendant measures 1 inch by 1 inch and the stone settings are sterling silver as well.  I just love how sophisticated this piece is. You can dress it up or down. The best part? It sells for only $34.99.

If you'd like this look in a different color, try this necklace.

There are so many wonderful pieces up for grabs at Joolwe.com. Be sure to check it out for yourself! P.S. All orders in the U.S. receive free shipping. :)

I'm very impressed with the quality and beauty of the selection available at Joolwe.com. I would suggest this store to anyone. Thanks to Joolwe and Family Review Network for this fantastic review opportunity.

I love how the diamonds wrap around each stone on the ring. And the yellow gold rope around the Citrine stone makes its color pop and gives it an extra sparkle.

This picture is to give you an idea of the actual size of this ring. It’s big and beautiful. This ring will most certainly catch anyone’s eye.

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, Kailani will ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link over HERE. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Kailani’s question is:
What is your dream job?
I'm living it! I always wanted to be a stay at home mom first...then a teacher.

My Question is:
If someone were going to buy you jewelry, what would you want?
I would like a charm bracelet with Alex's picture on a charm.

Click HERE for more "Aloha". :)
