Wowee, wow! I have such a nuts-o {in a good way} day ahead of me. Today, I take a "big girl" step and will try a completely new look. I'm talking cut and color.

I'm naturally a strawberry blond and every. single. time. I dye my hair, I go with something in the red family. It's something that looks natural on me and I like it.

BUT

Today? Today I will NOT go red. uh-uh

Of all the shades out there, can you guess which one I'll choose?

I'm not telling but I'll try to post a pic later {if not today, tomorrow for sure}

And my hair. Oh, boy, am I tired of this "all one length" thing. I need to mix it up and do something fun.

Later on, {after I'm totally dolled up} I have reservations for dinner at a very nice place and then I'm off to the theater to see Mary Poppins. phew!

I'm excited for my day so let it begin! I'm off to get my house in order before my *ahem* stylist comes over. VIP treatment all the way!!  :)

Is this what I'll look like after all the busyness? lol

I've talked in the past about having BIG ideas and having my heart broken into pieces for the children in Thailand.

I know that I know that my "call" in life is to work with orphans and foster children. I've simply never had anything else weigh so heavy on my heart. I've never felt as though anything else could be the one thing I'm supposed to do with my life. Aside from career aspirations. Aside from hobbies. This one topic is at the very core of what makes my heart beat.

After much thought and prayer, I've decided to not go on the trip to Thailand this October. Yes, I feel strongly about that area of the globe and what goes on there. Yes, I want to go. The good news is, this is something that I will have many opportunities to do while at my church as they work closely with the orphanage there. For right now, I just don't feel like this is the trip I'm supposed to go on. So, I'll keep my ears and eyes open for other opportunities to serve there and I will wait for the right time.

The better news is, the hubster and I may be closer to bringing things into focus for our home and family. By that I mean our conversations seem to be pointing toward something specific and we'll be seeking out information soon. Once we have that information, should we decide to move forward, I'll be happy to share about that here.

As for our home renovation. Well, (lol) things have been moving. They're moving slowly (which is not at all the way I like to see things done ) but they're moving. We bought some great pieces from IKEA to help keep things organized and create a "home" for things like diaper bags, shoes, toys, etc. Then, we came to the issue of flooring/kitchen/bathrooms. What we've decided is that we want to pay cash for whatever we do and we want to do it right. With that in mind, as well as a family vacation to Florida, we've set our eyes on redoing the kitchen next April and who knows when on everything else. For me, the kitchen is the most important area to renovate so the other areas can wait. I've virtually designed the kitchen so we know what we're looking at as far as cost is concerned. Now, we just save money and wait. (P.S. Gift cards to IKEA would be great anniversary and Christmas gift ideas!! wink, wink)

Beyond all of that, we're busy here with 2 wonderful, growing children who are a constant blessing to me everyday. Eliana's been on the move for about a month now which means we're even busier. LOL She says "Mama" all the time and is trying her hardest to learn sign language. Alex is getting ready for Pre-school and he's very excited to get started. I suppose I should bottle up this excitement so I can remind him of how excited he was to go to school when he gets older. ;)

I think that sums things up nicely for now.

Any questions?

Just to let you know, I’ve narrowed down the entries to the 5 I enjoyed most and e-mailed their links off to my contact at Crocs. I’m waiting to hear back from him (he’s supposed to choose the winners with me) before I officially announce winners….so hang in there.

I will hopefully be making that official announcement soon and be contacting the winners for their choice of shoes.

In the meantime, how about some bubbles? (I guess that only works with a toddler, huh?)

Tomorrow I will be posting an "OFFICIAL" update of the pregnancy stuff and the baby's name.

Are you on the edge of your seat? I know I am. I can not wait to see my baby on that screen and get a glimpse of who is on the way. I'm all giddy and stuff.

So...I'm 19 weeks pregnant and thought I should post a belly pic since it's been a bit. Here I am with my bump.

See? It's sittin' nice and pretty. No extra anything, just the bump and me.

So, the big day is tomorrow and I'll try (I'll TRY) to post a vlog to tell you personally what we learn. However, if I'm a basket case and crying an "ugly cry", I think I'll stick to typing. :) Let's just hope I get out the emotions before I get home, and THEN I'll be able to vlog.

Talk to ya tomorrow!!

Pregnancy Update/Coffee Talk: 14 Weeks

Well, here I am! Today makes my pregnancy 9 weeks along. I'm still having trouble with nausea and yes, the morning sickness has caught up with me. SO not fun. When I was pregnant with Alex, I never had morning sickness. I would feel nauseous if I didn't eat soon enough but that was it.

I had a bit of a rough weekend. The hubster made a wonderful dinner on Friday night. He made pork chops and stuffing. After about 3 bites, I determined that I am NEVER eating pork chops again...EVER. I didn't eat much else that night and went to bed not feeling well at all. Saturday morning was even worse. I slept until 10am (thank you hubs) and was feeling alright. I had a bit of a headache so I went to the kitchen to make some barely coffee, coffee and ate a banana while I waited for the coffee to brew. After I poured my cup-o-joe and turned from the counter, the baby decided quite suddenly that bananas are not allowed in my diet either.

Shoot!

I was so weak and had a headache all day. We had to cancel plans to see family and have friends over for dinner just so I could recoup.

So, while I'm very thankful to be pregnant, I'm even MORE thankful to see the 2nd trimester approaching. I'm hoping for a turn around in how I'm feeling.

Hm...I think I'll go lay down.
