Thanks to the company that sponsored this review. I was not compensated beyond the review item. All opinions are my own. Others may have a different opinion or experience.

Hey, friends! I'm so excited to share with you a new initiative from KOHL'S stores to make every dollar you spend count. Yes. For real!

The new rewards program is called YES2YOU. And just to give me a chance to try it out and see how it works, Kohl's sent me a gift card and sent me on my way to earn rewards. Every dollar spent = 1 point and members get a $5 reward for every 100 points earned.  Plus, just for signing up, I got 100 points with my first purchase....plus 10 points for shopping in the store....and if I had put the Kohl's app on my phone, I would have had another 10 points. {Remind me to do that, mmkay?}

Choosing something to buy at Kohl's was easy. I have 7 rooms on my home's first level that need sweeping and mopping....and my current method of vacuuming and hand mopping was getting old. I found a great solution with the iRobot Braava. And? It was marked down from $220 to $179!! The other thing I needed was a good pair of tennis shoes. My previous pair had just turned 7 years old and didn't offer much support. I went with this fun pair of New Balance running shoes.

As always, I had great customer care while shopping at Kohl's. On this particular visit, I had fallen in love with these turquoise tennies, but couldn't find my size. I found a gentleman working in the section and asked if there were any shoes in back-stock. He quickly grabbed a scanning tool and found that he did, indeed, have my size. I waited as he went back to grab them and he quickly brought them out to me. I love good customer service, don't you?

So, what are you waiting for? Head over to YES2YOU and sign up for your free membership with loads of benefits!

And to make it even MORE fun, I'm going to get a $250 gift card into one reader's hands. {Card will be shipped by the sponsor upon contest closing.} This giveaway will only last a week so enter TODAY and enter OFTEN! {Think shopping for hosting upcoming holidays or gifts or expanding your winter wardrobe, etc.}

**Thanks to the PR firm, on behalf of Kohl's, who supplied a gift card to facilitate this review. I wasn't compensated in any other way. In this post I share my thoughts and opinions of the items mentioned. Others may have a different experience or opinion. PS, I'm a bargain hunter and love coupons. Another shopping trip on this budget may not have the same outcome as mine.**

If you had to guess how much you could buy at Kohl's with $300, back to school shopping for 3 kiddos, {clothing and school supplies included}, how much do you think you could get? Did you even know you could grab a bunch of those school supplies at Kohl's {in store}? I had no idea I could grab my Office Max school supplies at Kohl's but I did know that I could stretch $300 a long, long way otherwise.

I homeschool. Yep, I do. That doesn't make my family exempt from back to school shopping, though. We have a co-op we attend every week and I have my own list of items we need to have in our classroom, according to the curricula we use.  Also, my children are all in need of a few new items to wear this fall.

I will have a 2nd grader, a Kindergartner, and my youngest will be in "tot school".

Would you like to see a peek at my shopping haul? Yes. Four bags came home with me!!!

Let me start with my back to school supplies from Office Max partnering with Kohl's. I was so excited to see a lot of choices for Dry Erase pencils & markers. We use them A LOT at home. I use them for teaching, the kiddos use them for math or writing practice, and my youngest just loves to doodle with them on her own dry erase board. I grabbed a pack of Crayola Dry Erase Colored Pencils, Crayola Dry Erase Markers, and a pack of Expo Dry Erase Markers that are meant just for me. My kiddos used our Crayola Washable Markers until they were all dried out, so I grabbed a new pack of those. I also bought myself a twin pack of scotch tape, a 4 pack of ballpoint pens, & a 5 pack of Sharpie markers in multiple colors. Also? Since my Kindergartner, Eliana, loves to draw, I grabbed her a pack of Crayola Glitter markers. And who can forget the box of Number 2 pencils?

Alex, my 2nd grader will have some work sheets and note-booking to do this year, so He chose 3 colored folders, a notebook, and a composition notebook. I saw a mini notebook in pink that I grabbed to use for notes I need to keep since it won't take up much of my desk top space.

And my big kids each got a new backpack with their favorite characters on them! Alex chose the Planes: Fire & Rescue backpack while choosing a Frozen backpack for his sister. {You'll spot Eliana's backpack in the photo I took of all her back to school clothes.}

There were many other school supplies in store, all set up nicely in the aisles. They had items for elementary level students up through college. I saw all kinds of art items, pens, markers, pencils, pencil bags, folders, binders, lunch totes, notebooks, and more. If that's not enough? Every single thing was on sale when I was shopping. The associate who was helping me check-out also told me to watch for coupons on school supplies.

Now, with the rest of the $300, I made sure to get the kiddos some nice and needed things to wear. Below, you'll see the items I bought just for Eliana. I bought a pack of golden toe socks, a pack of underwear, a pair of Hello Kitty shoes, 4 pair of leggings {2 different 2-pack sets}, a short sleeve dress, a 3/4 length sleeve Dollie & Me outfit, 2 long sleeve t-shirts, and 2 short sleeve t-shirts.

 For my youngest, I found an adorable Little Mermaid outfit, 2 long sleeve shirts {one that matches her big sister} and 2 pair of leggings. It was fun to find her some cute, new things since most of her wardrobe is all things her big sister used to wear.

 Finally, I found Alex {my 2nd grader} a pack of Gold Toe socks, a pack of underwear, 3 new shirts, one pair of khaki pants, 2 pair of jeans, and a pair of Hawk tennis shoes.

Did you add all of that up in your head? That's 42 items on a budget of $300. Now, to be fair, I had a coupon for an additional 20% off my purchase. Always, ALWAYS check online for a coupon before you shop or sign up for them to be sent to your email. My coupon popped up in my in-box the day I had already decided to go shopping.

Another trick? Take your time and shop the clearance racks. My friends, I saw items at insanely low prices on those racks. Alex's 2 pair of jeans were on clearance for $7.80 a piece and I had an extra 20% off on those. Also? The leggings I found for my youngest, Mikayla, were on clearance for $2.50 a piece.

By the end of my shopping trip, I ended up having to pay $17 out of pocket and saving nearly $450. Seriously! I saved way more than I spent and left the store with 42 new items to be used for this upcoming school year. What's more? Because of the amazing Office Max items in store, I didn't have to leave Kohl's and drive to another store for school supplies.

You simply MUST get your hands on a current coupon and get over to Kohl's for your back to school shopping. A beautiful store selling brands you know and trust, and aisles full of the supplies on your shopping lists could be the one-stop shopping trip you can be happy you took!

Office Max + Kohl's = Back To School Shopping Done! {review} #Kohls101

**Thanks to the PR firm, on behalf of Kohl's, who supplied a gift card to facilitate the purchase of 2 pair of shoes for  this review. I wasn't compensated in any other way. In this post I share my thoughts and opinions of the items mentioned. Others may have a different experience or opinion.**

I was given a mission to accomplish by simply shopping at Kohl's for 2 pair of shoes; one pair from the Rock & Republic line and another from the LC Lauren Conrad line. The goal was to buy shoes {and use my own accessories } to change an outfit from a daytime look to a nighttime look. I headed to the store with a coupon in hand and found both pair of shoes I liked to be on sale!!

For starters, I chose this adorable, Jennifer Lopez romper to use for my outfit. It's white and comfortable, but being pretty basic in style makes it easy to take from day to night.

So, let's just pretend I was going to be spending an afternoon shopping {since that's what I love to do when I get free time }, but I needed to be able to switch up my look quickly in order to make it to dinner reservations with the hubster later that night. Are you with me? Good.

For the daytime look, I used an infinity scarf with coral and apricot hues to pop off the white romper. I have a beaded bracelet on to add to the look. To really pull off this color pop, though, I grabbed the Rock & Republic Gladiator Wedge Sandals in Coral. This is such an easy but colorful, summer look.

Here's a closer look at the sandals. They zip up the back and that part is lined with suede. The sandals are SO very comfortable but they get lots of attention when I wear them out. It's kind of funny because I forget I'm wearing them and then see people staring at my feet, making me look down a little panicked to see what's wrong. {ha!}

Are you ready to see how I make this romper chic for a night out? First, I grabbed a hairpin and pulled my hair back into a simple french twist. I took off the scarf and bracelet and replaced those with a long necklace, a short necklace with a single diamond pendant, and silver bracelet while adding a cute ring to my right hand. I failed to grab earrings but I think that's the only thing I would change as they would have really finished off the look nicely. {A simple clutch purse would also work very well with this.} Finally, I took off the sandals and replaced them with LC Lauren Conrad Platform High Heels in Nude.

Here, the shoes are nearly visible but they make the whole outfit.

Now, my simple look becomes easy, breezy, and chic while making me feel feminine and giving the impression that at 5 foot 5 inches, I somehow have legs for days. ;)

Here's a closer look at the platform heel. My favorite part about these shoes is the rubber soles. I can walk easily in these heels & don't feel like I'm going to slip on any given step. Also? These shoes go with anything so I can use them again and again.

Fun, right? There were SO many choices I had when shopping for shoes at Kohl's but I'm pretty happy with my choices for this outfit. Have you purchased shoes of these brands before? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Or even your ideas on shoes you would have chosen for the same romper.

Sidebar: You can also purchase the Jennifer Lopez Mixed-Media Romper and Apt. 9 Geometric Lurex Striped Infinity Scarf at Kohl's. ;)

**Thanks to the PR firm, who supplied the items to facilitate this review. I wasn't compensated in any way. In this post I share my thoughts and opinions of the item mentioned. Others may have a different experience or opinion.**

Yes, I homeschool my kiddos, but "back to school" applies to us too. They need fall clothing and nice items to wear on our co-op outings and field trips. I'd also like to have a few things handy for photos. Thankfully, I was blessed to be able to work with KOHL'S to find the perfect items for my family.
 The above items are the product of my online shopping trip. The thing I love about shopping online is the ease of finding things my kiddos like {and don't like for that matter} without ever having to leave my couch. Beautiful.

My son, being my oldest, has come to also be very opinionated about his clothes if I ask him what he thinks. I was proactive and selected the CHAPS brand and let him choose from there. He selected Navy Chinos and the Colorblok Polo. Please note, if I had taken him to the store to pick something, I would have been there a WHOLE lot longer than I was on the website, comfortable, at home.

Now, when it comes to shoes, this boy...bless his heart...he cannot make up his mind to save his life and inevitably ends up choosing something quite expensive. {Insert pure ME influence here. I'm guilty of the same.} He just had to have light-up shoes and my emphasis was on finding a durable brand to keep up with how active he is. We ended up agreeing on the Skechers Ignis Light-Up Shoes and he has been thrilled to bits since they arrived.

Speaking of shoes, I saw this as a perfect opportunity to get matching shoes for my girls. I don't get a lot of matching outfits for them since a lot of what Mikayla wears now is something Eliana handed down, but if I have the chance to match them I'll take it. I found the adorable Skechers BOBS World Shoes in Silver, available in both Eliana's and Mikayla's sizes. They sparkle AND they velcro open and closed for an easy on/off.

Matching clothes for the girls was a little trickier since Eliana has been wanting nothing more than matching outfits with her American Girl dolls. Her size happens to be the smallest I've found in that vein so I went with complimentary outfits for the 2 girls instead. Eliana's outfit is the Dollie & Me Star Drop-Waist Dress and Leggings Set. And Mikayla's is the Carter's Dot Tiered Top & Leggings Set.

I'm tickled to see these outfits on my girls {I'm a bit partial to their cuteness} but I think the best reaction was from Eliana. Her jaw dropped when she saw the sparkling shoes in the box and when she saw her outfit, she exclaimed "Mommy! This is so beautiful!". And until her new outfit was washed and ready to wear, she had so much fun finding a doll to wear the matching clothes. "Addy will look so nice in this!" She decided.

And little Mikayla in her new Carter's set? I can't get enough of it. The blue colors make her eyes sparkly and the owl on the top is so super sweet. There are also little navy colored buttons on the ankle of the leggings that tie the outfit together. Just adorable!

In looking up these items again to be featured here, I noticed they're ALL on sale {for now} and there are discount codes for 15% or 20% off {depending on how much you spend before taxes}. And if you do it right, you could end up with KOHL'S cash to use on future purchases too. I know!

I've linked up my picks to make your shopping easier that way. Be sure to come back and tell me about the deals you landed!

Back To School Styles From KOHL'S {Review}

** Thanks to the PR firm or brand for the items to review. This review is based strictly on my experience and opinion. There was no compensation for the review itself or to influence my choice of words. Others may not agree or may have a different experience.**

If you were given $100 to spend at KOHL'S, how far could you stretch it? I think I did a pretty good job with my recent trip and I'm excited to tell you about it!!

Let me tell you, when I went to shop {and decided to use the money to get myself some things}, I had the hardest time not buying everything I saw. Every designer represented for my {30-something} age group, had at least 3 pieces I wanted to put in my cart. And please don't even get me started on handbags and shoes. There were so many cute choices to choose from. In the end, I decided on just one accessory for the clothes I bought.

Here's the bag I brought home. Yes, I did spend all $100 and yes, I did earn myself some KOHL'S cash. I love hitting a good sale!

Here are the items I bought hanging up. 9 pieces of clothing and 1 scarf! I KNOW! Front and center, you'll see my 2 favorite pieces. The color of the rose/coral top is bright and stunning. I also am completely smitten with the lace front and a touch of ruching on the bottom band to make sure it sits in a flattering way when worn. Also, the scarves were on sale the day I went in so I grabbed my favorite one. It's a taupe/beige color and has little sequins sewn in. {I love a bit of shiny!} I can't even count how many times I've worn this scarf already. It goes perfectly with so much of what I already own.

I found this high/low sweater in the Juniors clearance section. The sleeves are half-length so I can wear this anytime I want to cozy up. In the summer, that could be during an evening campfire, a walk in the colors of fall, or even in the winter. A versatile sweater is great to have.

The tank top I'm wearing here is one of 2 that I bought. I got a size small and they fit me perfectly. Add-in only paying $8 a piece and it's even better! Everyone needs basic tanks in the summer, right? These are paired with some shorts designed by Derek Lam for DesigNation. They're super cozy and make me want to go on some kind of beachy vacation. {These were 50% off when I bought them, by the way. Nice!}

Next, I found this navy, loose knit sweater on the Junior's department clearance rack. This has 3/4 length sleeves and the length hits just below the hips. This is another versatile sweater as it can be worn with a tank beneath it or a thin top with 3/4 length sleeves to warm it up a bit in the fall/winter. {I prefer to wear black or navy under the sweater, personally.}
Also, you can see my capri length leggings in the first pic. I purchased both black and gray as I love to wear these under skirts or dresses {when appropriate} for layering and modesty while keeping it cute.

Finally, I found this way too cute tank top on the clearance rack for only $6. The bright, summer colors are fun to wear and the bicycle print makes it really unique. It has a racerback wear the ruffle from the neckline continues down. In this pic, I've paired it with my boyfriend cardigan and skinny jeans to show you how I wear it in the sometimes chilly spring weather of Michigan.

Now, because of the sale going on, I earned $10 in KOHL'S Cash for every $50 spent. My total was just over $100 so I received $20! I decided to return to the store a few days later with Eliana and let her pick out a cute outfit and headbands. We still had $3 left of our credit but never got back to use it up.

All in all, I'd say I made a killing with my little shopping spree. Wouldn't you agree?

What kinds of things to you shop at KOHL'S for? I'd love to go back and buy some home goods next time.

So often I find myself shopping for gifts for others or needing to shop for things for my family. One of the first places I always consider shopping at is Kohl's. I find they have something for everyone and every room of the house. They also carry name brands that I respect as being durable and quality-made.

The prices at Kohl's? Well the prices are very reasonable and there's literally always some sort of sale going on in the store. Often, there are coupon discounts available to use on top of in-store discounts. I can't complain about that!

For this gift guide, I was sent something that is very fitting for the title of my blog and for the coffee lovers in my family.
This is the BonJour® Linear 8-Cup French Press Coffee Maker. I've met plenty of people who will only drink their coffee from a French Press. To them, the flavor is richer and they feel it's the best way to drink it.
While I'm not quite that fixed on a French Press due to busyness, I will say that it is awesome to enjoy a cup or 2 if I have the time. Mmmmmmm

Please note, this item is an online exclusive at Kohls.com which means that you won't find it in their stores.

Aside from the coffee's flavor, I love the look of the BonJour Linear 8-Cup French Press Coffee Maker. I first described it as being very "handsome" when I first saw it. Wouldn't you agree? I'm positive that this would look wonderful in a coffee lover's home and I'm sure the gift would be very much appreciated.

Here are some specifics from Kohl's on the French Press:

I'm sure all of the coffee drinkers out there are licking their chops just thinking about a cup of coffee made in this French Press. I can't say I blame you and I'd love for you to be able to try it out for yourself.
