**Thanks to the PR firm, on behalf of Kohl's, who supplied a gift card to facilitate the purchase of 2 pair of shoes for  this review. I wasn't compensated in any other way. In this post I share my thoughts and opinions of the items mentioned. Others may have a different experience or opinion.**

I was given a mission to accomplish by simply shopping at Kohl's for 2 pair of shoes; one pair from the Rock & Republic line and another from the LC Lauren Conrad line. The goal was to buy shoes {and use my own accessories } to change an outfit from a daytime look to a nighttime look. I headed to the store with a coupon in hand and found both pair of shoes I liked to be on sale!!

For starters, I chose this adorable, Jennifer Lopez romper to use for my outfit. It's white and comfortable, but being pretty basic in style makes it easy to take from day to night.

So, let's just pretend I was going to be spending an afternoon shopping {since that's what I love to do when I get free time }, but I needed to be able to switch up my look quickly in order to make it to dinner reservations with the hubster later that night. Are you with me? Good.

For the daytime look, I used an infinity scarf with coral and apricot hues to pop off the white romper. I have a beaded bracelet on to add to the look. To really pull off this color pop, though, I grabbed the Rock & Republic Gladiator Wedge Sandals in Coral. This is such an easy but colorful, summer look.

Here's a closer look at the sandals. They zip up the back and that part is lined with suede. The sandals are SO very comfortable but they get lots of attention when I wear them out. It's kind of funny because I forget I'm wearing them and then see people staring at my feet, making me look down a little panicked to see what's wrong. {ha!}

Are you ready to see how I make this romper chic for a night out? First, I grabbed a hairpin and pulled my hair back into a simple french twist. I took off the scarf and bracelet and replaced those with a long necklace, a short necklace with a single diamond pendant, and silver bracelet while adding a cute ring to my right hand. I failed to grab earrings but I think that's the only thing I would change as they would have really finished off the look nicely. {A simple clutch purse would also work very well with this.} Finally, I took off the sandals and replaced them with LC Lauren Conrad Platform High Heels in Nude.

Here, the shoes are nearly visible but they make the whole outfit.

Now, my simple look becomes easy, breezy, and chic while making me feel feminine and giving the impression that at 5 foot 5 inches, I somehow have legs for days. ;)

Here's a closer look at the platform heel. My favorite part about these shoes is the rubber soles. I can walk easily in these heels & don't feel like I'm going to slip on any given step. Also? These shoes go with anything so I can use them again and again.

Fun, right? There were SO many choices I had when shopping for shoes at Kohl's but I'm pretty happy with my choices for this outfit. Have you purchased shoes of these brands before? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Or even your ideas on shoes you would have chosen for the same romper.

Sidebar: You can also purchase the Jennifer Lopez Mixed-Media Romper and Apt. 9 Geometric Lurex Striped Infinity Scarf at Kohl's. ;)

Two things I love to buy as often as I can are shoes and handbags. And when it comes to Spring/Summer footwear, I like styles that are quick and easy to get on and off while being cute enough to go with my favorite outfits. But what if there was more to it than finding a cute pair of shoes to match my favorite maxi dress?

BOBS Shoes by SKECHERS create and sell shoes in the spirit of giving. In fact, they've given over 3 Million pairs of shoes to children in the US as well as over 25 other countries around the world.

I was sent the new BOBS Doily shoes for review and can't wait to show them to you.

Aren't they great? Inside the shoe box, I found a card telling me all about what BOBS does along with a bracelet that shows my support for them.

These crochet top shoes come in 4 different colors. Buyers can choose Turquoise, Hot Pink, Black, or Natural. Obviously, I chose natural as I'm hoping to wear them with everything I can think of once the warmer weather is here to stay.

The insole of the shoe is made of suede leather and is very comfortable against bare feet. Another thing I like about the insole is the pillow support inside. Too often I find cute shoes that hurt my feet like crazy and I choose to wear them anyway. This time around, I know I have support built into my shoes and I don't have to worry about my feet and back hurting at the end of the day.

What color would you choose? Would you choose a different style altogether? BOBS by Skechers offers many different styles at different price points. I'm also a big fan of the Support style {plaid} as well as the Heart Bob in black.

BUY IT: You can buy your own BOBS Doily shoes for $42.00! {And remember, when you do, a pair will be given to someone who really needs them}

Did you happen to see Zooligans added to the top 10 favorites in Parents Magazine? If you did, you were probably thinking something close to what I was thinking when I was sent images of these shoes, "Oh, how sweet are those!?! My kids would just love them."

I had taken a few surveys while this brand was adding their finishing touches to the Zooligans line and I loved them more and more as I started to get "sneak peek" images in my email.

Now that the brand has launched, I had an opportunity to try them out with my 2 year old, Eliana, and offer a pair for giveaway as well!

When I was given the green light to choose a pair of shoes for review, I sat down with Eliana for a little online shopping. I think she chose three different kinds to begin with but when I tried to talk her into the Koala Bear shoes, she decided on the Fuzz The Kitty style instead. Can you blame her? They're pink, adorable, and even have straps that look like studded collars.

Between the time the shoes were ordered and the time they arrived, Eliana must have forgotten about the shoes she picked out with me that day. When she opened the box, she gasped and said "Dose {those} shoes are for ME?". It took only seconds before she took them out to try on. After which, she wore them all over the house for the rest of the morning.

The inside of the shoes are an adorable, leopard print and all the leather used to make up the shoes is buttery soft. I also appreciate how the Velcro is placed just at the end of the strap rather than all the way across. My daughter has very sensitive skin and this prevents the uncomfortable rub of Velcro on her skin, creating a rash or irritation.

Eliana and I both love the paws on these shoes. These are seriously cute but what's even cuter is when I comment on her "paws" and she starts to dance like a little tap dancer. Beyond cuteness, the shoes have wonderful flexibility while offering good support when Eliana's wearing them.

Here's Eliana in her shoes! {Please don't mind the princess tattoos on her legs. She earned those while potty training.}

Now, if the shoes weren't fun enough on their own, the box they come in takes it to the next level. On the box are instructions to turn it into a pet carrier. Eliana happily tucked in her new kitties until she was ready to wear them again. I could certainly see the attention to detail here on the brand's end and I was very impressed.

There's nothing better than a comfortable shoe that looks good. During my pregnancy, it's hard for me to find shoes that feel good and look good at the same time and more importantly, something I can get on and off quickly helps when I'm on the go with my kiddos.

I was given an opportunity to review some of the newest shoes from Teva. These are the Women's Mush Frio Ballerina Mesh Shoes in Charcoal Grey and I love them.

They weigh 3.4 ounces...yes, you read that right...and are completely collapsible which makes them perfect for packing in a suit case. The soles of the shoes are made to feel like a flip-flop while providing a good grip for getting around in the elements. Also, the shoes are made to form to the feet of their owner. A custom fit is really nice to have in a shoe that will be worn around a lot.

Look at how flexible these shoes are! That's another good sign of a comfortable shoe. If it doesn't bend like that, it's not going to be comfortable. Trust me. I know that from experience.

 My final word on my new Teva shoes? I love everything about them and wear them around all the time. {You know, before I broke my foot.} If you still want to have the feel of wearing flip-flops without having the chill on your toes, I can highly recommend these shoes to you as well.

BUY IT: You can purchase Teva Women's Mush Frio Ballerina Mesh Shoes for $45.

Nomad Footwear is a lovely web-store where I found adorable shoes for both women and girls. For women, they sell everything from casual flats to hells/wedges, to boots and more! For little girls, they sell flats, sandals, and boots. Their inventory is quite large with a number of different styles and colors to choose from.

If you're anything like me, you'll be browsing for a long while before you decide on one shoe that you like the best. {There are way too many things that I fell in love with.}

Nomad invited me to select the shoe of my choice for review. After clicking around, I found that I favored the Puddles boots over other styles available. I didn't own a pair of rain boots until this review but I always wished I did when I had to run through rain and puddles to get to the car or into a store.

My first choice of Puddles boots were the Black/White Large Dots. Those were sold out so I decided to go with the Green Flower Power {pictured above}. I just like the "funky" look to them. They're unique, look cute with my rolled up jeans, and get a lot of compliments. *Please note: These boots are water resistant but not waterproof.*

The website recommends buying a size down from your regular size. Since I wear a size 7.5/8, I chose to get a size 7. {I felt a 6 would be too small.} I'm happy with my decision and find that these fit me very comfortably.

BUY IT: You can purchase your own Puddles boots {in your favorite style} for $50.00

Nomad Footwear: Lovin' My Boots {Review & Giveaway}

One thing I love about warmer weather is being able to slip on some sandals and head out for the day. Most of the time, I wear my flip flops but I prefer to wear something a little more stylin' with a skirt or a sun dress. However, I find that I have to sacrifice comfort for style and then I end up rarely wearing those cute sandals I just bought.

When I heard about OKA b, I was impressed by how comfortable users said they were. Then I took a trip to their website. I could not believe how many adorable styles and colors of sandals were available. Honestly, it took me a good day to decide which I would like to review. And you can see, I chose the Adair sandals that come in vanilla. {I figured they were a good neutral color and I could wear them with a lot.}

I normally wear a size 7 1/2 in a shoe so I ordered the medium. These sandals fit perfectly. I also like the patterned tread on the bottom. Every inch of this sandal is feminine and that's the sort of detail I really appreciate.

This shoe has a mid-heel that's about an inch and a half tall. There are also taller heels or flats available on the website. I like this little bit of height as it makes it feel like more of a dressy type of shoe to me. Another plus are the massaging beads on the sole of the sandal. These comfort my feet with every step.

The Adair sandal has a leather flower on it with pretty beads. At first, I was a bit concerned about the stability of this detail and worried that it may fall off easily. After looking at it closely, though, I'm sure that my initial concerns are unnecessary and I don't even think about it when I wear them.

These sandals are so flexible, so comfortable, and so adorable. I would love to be adding more styles and colors to my wardrobe soon.

There are specific features that I want to highlight but I found that OKA b said it best so I've attached a blurb from their website's About Us page.

OKA b Sandals Are My New "Cute Shoes" {review & giveaway}

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

I love comfortable shoes. Don't you? I especially love comfy shoes that I can easily slip on as I'm running out the door with my kiddos.

If you're taste is like mine, I have the place to head for comfy, customizable, slip on shoes. Yes, I said customizable. No, I don't mean one custom look. There are many options to make your shoes your own and to help them match your outfit. Whether your look is casual or sophisticated; there's a snap for that.

Take, for example, the Liz-black Snap Shoes I was sent for review from Lindsay Phillips.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The inside of the shoe is super soft and the outside is made of soft, Genuine Napa leather. So, they're not only comfortable, they're also durable.

Now, to talk about how I can change up the look of the shoe. On the top of the shoe is a snap. Yes, a snap. See?

On this you can snap in whatever look you've chosen for the day. My options, sent to me for review, are:

The Ila is perfect for a fun, casual look.

The Rosie for, perhaps, a little dressier look.

and

The Angela for a look that could go casual or dressy.

For the Spring/Summer seasons, there are many cute snaps available to bring a pop of color to the shoe as well. And while you're shopping through the new snaps on the website, you can select the shoe you have (or will be buying) and see what the snap will look like on your shoe before you buy it. This is a great feature as the snaps vary in size and may not look like you think they will just by viewing them alone.

Say goodbye to a new pair of shoes for every new outfit. With Lindsay Phillips, you can make one pair of shoes new again for a fraction of the cost of purchasing a different shoe altogether.

Oh, yes. While you're shopping, check out the gorgeous scarves and bags. I have too many favorites to post each of them here. Let's just say I wish I had them all. Also, don't miss the kids shoes. This is a great way to get some matching shoes for mommy and daughter. Too cute!

BUY IT: You can purchase the ballet flats I have in 4 different colors for $64 and the different snaps are $12 a piece.
